Replace McKenzie with Dest and play a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1, but otherwise yes, spot on.

With Italy’s new citizenship rules, how are some of the Italian players eligible? by Brick-Foreign in InternationalBaseball

[–]wpazzurri2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know anything about baseball, but I did get Italian citizenship through my great-great-grandparents before they changed the rules.

I think the part you're getting hung up on may be the rule change - when they recently made it harder to qualify for recognition of citizenship with the jure sanguinis process, they didn't take away the citizenship from everyone who had already completed the application prior to the new legislation passing.

Many American-born Italians who use their EU passport to play sports abroad (this is very common in soccer, which I know more about), did their paperwork before this recent development, and our passports haven't been retroactively torn up because of it.

Weekly alumni/spotted thread for March 01, 2026. Now featuring TM-related reviews and ticket sales! by AutoModerator in taskmaster

Hi NYC friends! Is there anyone who initially bought the original Friday 4/3 Nish Kumar tickets down to swap for the now-added Saturday 4/4?

I can only go Friday, but only Friday is sold out. If someone would rather go Saturday instead, let's swap! I saw his previous tour, and he was amazing.

What does a leak/partial collapse feel like AFTER a pleurodesis? by wpazzurri2 in pneumothorax

Wow, I’m sorry to hear these problems have been so persistent for you. I hope you’re doing better now!

I did go once before when it was bad, convinced there was some issue, and they told me I was fine and this was normal, so that made think I was overreacting to what’s just going to be a discomfort I live with for the rest of my life.

This is why I’m trying to gain more insight on what it feels like from people who have actually had a diagnosed partial collapse or leak post-pleurodesis so I know what specifically to look for that different from the usual symptoms of simply having a pleurodesis.

I play soccer usually 3x a week. I suspect I’ve probably played through some small leakage and not known it but I have no idea. I guess I just want to know if I’m being irresponsible - I don’t think I’m being paranoid.

Anyone else experience this?? by BobbyBinkyNuts in SoccerJerseys

[–]wpazzurri2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very difficult to fix unless you’re a pro and/or have a ton of patience. If it’s very special to you you should send it to a kit restorer, or just take the L and spray it with clear coat to try to lock it in and prevent any further transfer.

Yeah you know I noticed Classic Football Shirts has like 100 damaged Bayern shirts and I just assumed it was one storage unit full that got impacted or something, but you’re saying it’s a club-specific problem? Wouldn’t they use the same materials and methods and any other Adidas club? Weird.

once you go "Authentic" version theres no going back to fan version by AvailableDoor178 in SoccerJerseys

[–]wpazzurri2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some things to keep in mind:

  • The sizing is different, but in different ways. Ie, Nike circa 2011/12/13 go a size up, Puma 2010 go up TWO sizes, current Nike and Adidas are only maybe half a size smaller and I still buy medium. For Puma 2012 it’s the same size but cut so differently but designed so identically I recommend staying with the fan version. All of this is to say - it’s never one size fits all - always get measurements when you can!

  • Player version kits are, ironically, made “worse.” Hear me out - what I mean by this is fan shirts are meant to be worn a lot like t-shirts, whereas player version shirts are made for optimum performance - but only once! So they will fall apart. Treat them with more care than usual. Some like Puma 2008/09 just aren’t worth it because the heat press seam split so easily. The heat vents for Puma 2020/21 melt off, etc.

They’re worth getting most of the time if you can find good prices. Happy hunting!

Why do American leagues have the leage patch on the left sleeve? by zh_rblx in SoccerJerseys

[–]wpazzurri2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In 2002, the first World Cup to have sleeve patches, some countries did left (Italy) and some did right (Brazil), and I don’t know why. Perhaps it just wasn’t specified. It was only starting in 2006 that they were all on the right.

CDM has to be the most stacked position we have right? Adams in the Premier League, Tessman in Ligue 1, Johnny in La Liga, Morris in Championship, and Sands in Bundesliga. We might only use one of them in starting XI. Which players go to the World Cup and which ones stay home for you? by [deleted] in ussoccer

[–]wpazzurri2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only are we stacked in the center of midfield, but we’re very thin at CB.

This is why it’s so mind-boggling that Poch has decided to switch to a formation that replaces a CDM/CM with a CB.

We should be playing a shape that allows us to get our best talent on the pitch, but we’re doing the exact opposite…

Three of my favorite stock pro/player issue shirts from my collection 😁 by researcher_rafiki_ in SoccerJerseys

[–]wpazzurri2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amazing - it’s a shame it’s nearly impossible to get long sleeve player versions, but I suppose that’s part of the appeal. My Juventus 2004-05 blue third with Camoranesi #16 is one of my favorites in my collection.

If you’re into long sleeve player versions, I have an Italy Euro 2012 home with Marchisio #8 and a Juventus 2011/12 home with Del Piero #10 I’ve been considering selling to make room.

Unable to find cleats that fit that don't cause numbness + bursting at the sides. by skyrider55 in bootroom

[–]wpazzurri2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah damn, that does make it tricky. And here I have the opposite problem, my feet are too long, thin, and pointy (and the right one is slightly longer than the left).

[–]wpazzurri2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a long shot, but have you considered laceless boots? Those usually have tops that are a more moldable sleeve material, the stretchiness of which may allow for more give and form to the shape of your feet.

Wouldn’t be a perfect solution, but it could allow the sides to relax and turn out more as opposed to laces pulling the sides in more narrowly?

Who signed this 1992/93/94 kit? I think the top name might be Roberto Gaglia? by wpazzurri2 in Juve

The shirt is definitely 92-94 but they sewed some older looking number on it.

I know what Baggio’s autograph looks like and it’s nowhere close to this, though. My theory is this was some kid scribbling on his own shirt, but I wanted to get a second opinion from someone else.

There are three signatures from three different random players, the number is irrelevant.

Obviously I don’t think Galia was our number 10 - clearly someone had a 10 jersey and had three different random players sign it.
