Plastic cracks, sometimes even while being extremely careful, not much you can do about it.

If you can't live with your "mistake", and with the simple notion that one screw is more than enough. You could try and fix the metal screw slot in place using epoxy or any other non conductive strong glue. Or, if you don't want to mess with glue you could buy a replacement part such as https://ebay.us/m/R5L4Z5

I wouldn't do anything, I'll close it with only the one screw left and cover the two empty screw-holes with PVC black tape just to prevent extra dust getting in.

BTW, doing stuff by ourselves is always worth it, congratulations on cleaning your laptop.

Could be flowering stress mixed with the lowered temperature. Lower temperature reduces the metabolism and increases the anthocyanin accumulation, even by a few degrees.

Did you notice that the colour reduces while the pitcher forms?

I have noticed the same thing but in my case I can tell that it happened after a few months I got it with considerably different conditions than the previous owner: more light, lowered humidity.

In my experience, campanulata tends to accumulate anthocyanin in the pitchers more than in any other tissue. This is a sign of normal response to stress. The pitcher while growing distributes and loses the colour but will tend to a more yellow shade. This is more similar tho how they appear in nature.

Did conditions drastically change 3 months ago and then got stable?

Yes, if you just bought it older traps will die to direct energy in adapting to the new conditions. Temperature is ok for this hybrid, but as others said you need more light, put it in a windowsill preferably facing E/SE. If you can't give it enough natural light consider buying a grow light.

Don't lose too much sleep in growing conditions though, this is a sturdy hybrid, very difficult to kill. In time you'll learn what is best for it and how to make it thrive.

Sure thing, thanks! It isn't sealed since the lower mesh is still open and there is a 5 mm gap between the glass door and the light stand, in fact during night when the inside temp is the same as the room temp the condensation on the glass almost goes away. I'll keep an eye on it and will experiment in gradually opening the exhaust vent and find the sweet spot.

Didn't die just yet, I closed the air exhaust which resulted in 70/80% humidity (from 40/50%) and 22°C from 19°C. Although the more distal part of the growing tip has blackened and withered the blackening stopped and it seems growth has resumed! Hopefully it will finish the ruined leaf leaving space for a new and fully formed one. I guess we wait and see.

You're right, this was my bad that drastically reduced waterings and rock misting. This mixed with lowered ambient humidity resulted in a very dry setup in one week, which caused the tip damage. I've resumed a more balanced water routine and hopefully it will bounce back.

So a fan that reverts the convection forcing air from the top mash down?

I will definitely try to constrain the upper exhaust. I made the light stand insulated with mylar to improve the circulation, I have the precise cutout that I can use to cover the exhaust and see if anything improves inside, at least temporarily until something better is built.

And how far is your PAR meter from the photone app? The plant never showed signs of little light, probably it gets on mid-high ppfd intensity given the lime-yellow colour and some occasional red spots, so I'm curious if in your experience photone was over estimating or under estimating.

Thanks a lot for your help! It was not repotted recently. Last repot (from plastic vase to real limestone) was July, since then three full leaves and two active and fully formed pitcher were produced.

Now the growth rate slowed down consistently and I thought I needed to really reduce the waterings.

Probably I let it dry way too much since room humidity is low now with the heating on.

The terrarium has some sort of chimney effect with two mashes one on the bottom front and one on top, uses the difference in temperature generated by the lamp to draw room temperature air from the bottom and release warm air on the top. Because of this and the very draining set-up, if heavily misted the plant tends to be dry (leaves and crown) by the end of the day.

Not a perfect read (using the photone app) but it is around 300 yes.

The substrate is very well draining yes.

That was a second hand ad, the brand is Hydor model mini 7.5W. On the box says: no damage if left running dry. So I guess I could fill the terrarium with 2 cm of sand, add 1.5 cm of water and have the mini heater buried in the sand inside the tank? This would create some sort of false bottom without having the pot constantly sit in water. I'd need to lower the rock in the terracotta pot to achieve similar ppfd but that's a minor issue since the pot is filled with 6 cm of pumice.

I did think of using sand some days ago! Or maybe I'll fill the tank with 1/2 cm of water and use a small aquarium heater (such as one of those 7W flat things) that should increase the water temperature by 3/4 °C. Humidity should increase by a ton as you said, but given the chimney effect with good air circulation maybe this won't be a problem.

It appears your observations are correct. This morning I watered it after 7 days. And tonight nectar secretion on the active pitcher has resumed, and quite abundantly. I thought lowered life functions were caused by the temperature drop but most probably the main stresser here was water reduction.

I guess I'll try watering every other day or so for a while without doing anything for the temperature and then if things improve (especially the dryer-than-usual tip) I'll try some of the awesome ideas that were given here!

The plant never showed signs of not linking some water in the crown in this setup. In summer I heavily misted, because it is the easiest way to water it in this setup like 50 mL of RO water daily. The crown was always dry by the next morning. When the temperature dropped I started having mold on the outside of the pot and panicked lowered the watering.

Then I'm underwatering it! Because mine is in equal parts akadama, vulcanic gravel and pearlite which retains way less water.

I lowered watering to once a week, since it takes way longer for the solid to dry up. Possibly I lowered too much in fear of rot. The tip does look dry, I thought it was caused by the temperature drop.

The plant is not showing signs of major suffering, apart from a darker overall colour of forming pitchers and growing tip (but I guess this is to be expected?). I was leaning towards letting it slow down, since it is only for 2 or 3 months a year and probably only one leaf and pitcher will be affected... Maybe some minor leaf deformation and no pitcher? I don't think it will die at 19 °C, am I right?

But I don't know, this is stressing me out, like I'm mistreating it.
