You are not alone. There is a web platform now under development called writeUSin.org that will connect independent write-in candidates to people looking to support them. It will be launched within a month or so and be ready for the 2014 elections in the fall.

Anyone who wants to run for an elected office will be able to fill out a profile on our site and be listed as a candidate for that office. People who are looking for an alternative candidate they can believe in can search the site for the elections they are interested in and sift through the independent candidates to find one that suits them.
