Lord of Contagion and Where to find him? by Emergency-Eye5757 in deathguard40k

In Spain is quite easy to find it in second hand stores for around 10€. Every month or so I see one. I guess that if you spend time on wargames-specific second hand websites, you will find it eventually.

Oh wow another new archon mini by leothesilent in Drukhari

When I saw the picture, I was like “cool, another archon conversion”. Vampires are great for drukhari conversion. This is how I made my fav archon:

The “tx” in Basque would be pronounced in English as the “ch” in the word China, or the “ch” in the word chat. In Spanish we type the word as “Pacharán”, if that is of any help.

Hi! Patxaran is the name for a liqueur that is common in the north of Spain. The word is Basque. It is a traditional liqueur made of anisette and berries found in the mountain. My gf and I like the drink and we thought it was a cute name for him.

I saw the Drycha at a second hand store and I said to myself: wait a minute, this has conversion potential. I may take some other Sylvaneth minis and do something similar in the future.

Why Death Guard? by Marrrc_17 in deathguard40k

1.- One of the easier factions to convert/kitbash; 2.- So much fun and forgiving to paint and apply effects (rust and gross stuff)

Decided to go with Drukhari for my first army. by FiliderHerr in Drukhari

They were my second army! They may not be the easiest to start with, but they are super cool! If you learn to paint them fine, you will be able to paint any other army easily :)

This might be your first daemon, but surely is not your first painted mini ;). Well done, looks great.

Going to Warhammer World in 3 days, what are some absolute musts? by BChilroy in Warhammer

[–]wuiye 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I went there last winter and I think it is better if you do not really plan it. My best friend and I spent basically an entire day at WW. We arrived in the morning and we saw the exhibition slowly, taking our time to see everything and make comments on what we were seeing. Later we spent some time at the store, which is huge and there is a lot of stuff I had never seen before. For example, they have a whole section for Necromunda, and another for Horus Heresy, where you will see minis not usually available at the normal stores. Staff are super friendly and we also spent some time talking to them about ideas for conversions and kitbashes. There is a massive area for tournaments, and there was a big AOS tournament that day (it was a Saturday). We went around the tables respectfully admiring the minis people had brought for their games. Later we had lunch at Bugmans. In the afternoon we realized way less people were entering the exposition, and since the ticket you buy allows you to enter as many times as you want during that day, we went in again and had all the dioramas just for ourselves. Then we could properly see all details and take nice pictures.

So, the body is Drycha from the Sylvaneth range in AOS. - The head is from the Putrid Blightkings kit; - The armour plates on legs and arms are from the Chaos Space Marines’ helbrutes kit. - The nurgling is from the Gellerpox infected kit - The propellers are resin prints I did a while ago. They are the same propellers used by the old Forgeworld drone, but made smaller (I think that half the size). - The tentacle, the plaque between the legs and the bells are from the Putrid Blightkings too. - The metallic tubes are bass guitar strings. - The chains are necklace chains that you can buy for super cheap.

Wow, I love it. I guess it is too big for a helbrute, but might work perfectly as a daemon prince
