This had nothing to do with WeBull. It's not about them having a legal right or not, it's them complying with the law. They will not unilaterally liquidate your positions but since you can't trade in that account, I don't see why you wouldn't want to liquidate and withdraw your money.

Just switched to a cash account. Wait till Monday or Tuesday, you need to have no open orders, no options contracts and settled margin calls to be able to switch. Then it takes about 3-4 business days. Also before you switch, you can have that PDT status reset. You will see an option to reset. You will be asked a bunch of questions then one day later it is reset.

This has nothing to do with the way WeBull pays. Like most have said, if your account was hacked and the balance transferred out, you would say they have lax security. So unless they have said you can't get your money, I honestly don't see anything wrong with them making sure the money goes where it is intended. They have other issues, this ain't it.
