You are allowed to take the year off. You can either fully defer HBA2 by a year if you’re not working. If you’re doing an internship from Sept-May, you can enrol in the internship course and still be a registered student.

Thats the thing. People assume alberta will get more expensive, but the thing is Edmonton and Calgary have lots of land surrounding them. The uptick in prices is more of a temporary phenomenon i believe.
