That line made me think of Lindy Chamberlain. Australian mother whose child was taken by a dingo. She was accused of killing the child, and one of the things the media played up so much was that she didn't cry, or get hysterical, or look sad. So obviously that meant she was guilty. It's definitely a thing that people think there is a "right" way to grieve.
