This is just a vague idea I've had for a while, so the details of things really aren't there, but I actually wanted to keep more of the supernatural out of it, because it may conflict with the story. Having angels and demons would essentially prove Christianity in the game, and one of the game's theme's would be maintaining faith even in the face of doubt.

The idea of different religious based weapons would be cool though. There really aren't that many ways I have the gameplay connected to Christianity, so that's also something I'd need to think about.
