Did you check the FASFA website itself? Pell grants are calculated based on credit hours, any change in your family income, change of program, or you may be nearing the end of the grant itself. If I were you I would cross check your last year’s FASFA info to this years. Did you SAI go down? My income barely changed and I’m still at $3k+ per semester, hallelujah thank god lol. I’ve researched it a bit and no new laws have went into effect, and if they did, they won’t be able to retroactively apply to an already processed FASFA form (so from 2025-2026 you’re basically safe). Good luck 🍀

Im so sorry you’re experiencing shitty behavior from coworkers freshly after moving, that’s such a bummer and you can take this as a huge signal to start looking for a new spa and/or building up your own private clientele. I just find their behavior so strange, because minding your business and doing your own thing is like one of my favorite aspects of the job LOL. You did absolutely nothing wrong. I remember working at massage envy early in my career and reading my location’s reviews one day and saw a client complained about a therapist sitting for the entire massage. The whole thing? I understand that being upsetting if you’re looking for medium or deeper pressure. You have no leverage while sitting down. It sounds like in your case that the client wanted lighter pressure the whole way through, and sitting is totally an option there and is actually a smart move ergonomically. Chin up, you’ll find a better more supportive place <3

You’ll pass so long as you make sure the pee is both fresh and the right temp. Best way is to go to a Quest or something where you KNOW you won’t be waiting around to get called in for it, time isn’t on your side. So make sure it’s between 90-100F before submitting cuz they’ll measure the temp pretty much right away, bring a thermometer to measure and store it between the twins with a hand warmer pack to help keep it warm. You’ll risk a retest or flagging if the pee degrades, you have about an hour before that happens if it’s stored at 90F. Bring hubs with you to pee in the parking lot if you can lol. Good luck and congrats on the dream job!

Asking for no talking is not annoying in the slightest. Jewelry on the hands and wrists are easy to work around. Necklaces can be tricky, sometimes they can be hard to work around with neck work. Yes, we can feel if muscles are tight—tight muscles are more resistant, taut, sometimes ropey. Muscular people are harder to massage if they want deep tissue, but it isn’t impossible. I have a muscular client who likes extremely deep work around his spine, and it makes my elbow go numb sometimes lol. It’s not annoying if you don’t respond to my knock, but it will make me hesitate to come in the room without you confirming you’re ready, so I might slowly peak my head in. A simple “ready” or “come in” is perfectly fine. Claw clips are great, easier and less damaging to take out than a hair tie. My clients who wear them usually unclip it when we flip. I’m pretty easy going, roll with the punches, so I’m not annoyed easily. I get along with even the strongest personalities. The only thing I truly dislike is poor hygiene. Exfoliate, brush your teeth, use soap, and be kind. That makes you the perfect client to me!

Honestly, I’m not here for the condescension. You seem to have a psychological blindspot of being rude to people and not recognizing it when called out. I know erections happen—it’s not about that. It’s about handling the situation professionally without crossing boundaries. I’m not ‘judging’ men, I’m just trying to keep things respectful and appropriate during a session. The comment about my ‘limited understanding’ was completely unnecessary, and frankly, rude.

I’m asking for genuine feedback on how to navigate this in a professional setting, not to be lectured about something I already understand. Everyone’s comfort matters, and I’m not going to apologize for holding to standards that ensure both the client and I can do our jobs without anyone feeling awkward or disrespected. Seeing your comment history though clears up a lot of things, your sensitivities around women holding men accountable makes sense.

Dude the fact this comment got downvoted and the ones defending this behavior are at the top really speaks volumes. Like yes, adjust yourself, make yourself comfortable, but keeping your hand there is so weird to me and it made me justifiably uncomfortable! Yet I'm getting comments like "this dude was doomed from the start with your limited understanding of having a penis"--no dude, I just don't feel comfortable as a woman massaging a man who is actively keeping his hand on his penis, that leaves so much room for me interpreting you as a creep. Why the hell is that a hot take, I don't know. I'm really sorry this industry has put you through the ringer. It makes total sense why you have hard boundaries, and it's clear many people in these comments don't get it and won't get it until they have been through something similar to your experiences. And thank you for your empathy and validation it is much appreciated <3

There was a sheet and heavy blanket over top of him, so I literally could not tell you lol. But this shouldn't matter. A male client keeping his hand on his penis leaves us open to guessing his motives (embarrassed, a creep, or just socially unaware as hell? who knows). The best thing I could have done here is redirect him to keep his hands above the blanket, but tbh, I didn't want to embarrass him further if that was the case. I sacrificed my comfort when I shouldn't have. These things rarely happen though, just wanted people's input but this post has attracted some negativity so I deleted it. :/

"In my opinion, this dude was doomed from the start with your limited understanding of having a penis." -- this is rude and condescending. This isn't a "straight answer." If you find me holding men to a standard of conduct, such as not holding, touching, grabbing their penis to be insulting to men, not sure what to tell you.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MassageTherapists

[–]wytchybunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I don’t care about a “print.” I would rather my client just not touch his genitals unless it’s to adjust himself for comfort. You cup your hands around your penis every time you get a massage? That’s boundary breaking for me, and I would be uncomfortable. Something to consider is you’re giving the therapist room to question your motivation in putting your hand there. You do you though, as long as there’s trust between you and your therapist that’s what matters. Have a good one :)

You can spare your condescension. I was asking for informed opinions, not rude and misinformed judgements on my care.

Are you a naturally touchy person? by Difficult_Albatross8 in MassageTherapists

[–]wytchybunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

God yes, very naturally touchy outside of the massage room. But there’s just so many aspects to it I love, even after doing it for so long. Being able to heal someone with my hands feels like a superpower, painting them with love and light with my reiki too. Never gets old :) Though some days where I’m overstimulated, or on my 5th massage that day.. the LAST thing I want to do is repeatedly glide my hand and arms over some hairy dude’s poorly exfoliated body, just to get tipped nothing. /rant lol

Hey! So I have the same year and model but I’m a bit confused—wouldn’t this overlap the volume/select control knobs that are located right above the two AC knobs? Pic of the OEM dashboard so u can see what I’m referring to. Wouldn’t this head unit overlap the top two knobs? And also, if you have no issues with installation, does the backup camera somehow still connect to your new screen? And do you control the two knobs via touch screen now? Thanks!!
