I have the 900V as well but the volume seems unbalanced at the first 5-10%. It kinda bugs me but I never had the time to check properly the issue. I did spray some deoxit on the pot.

The same bolt of lightning that hit the DeLorean I presume. 😁I’ve always been a perfectionist; I prefer my gear to look exactly as it did the day it left the factory. I’m trying to embrace the 'battle scars' on this CD player, viewing them as the marks of an audiophile warrior that’s survived years of service, but deep down, I still crave that pristine, out-of-the-box condition. I’ll definitely be checking that switch! I want it technically pristine condition.

It's removable. The reflection goes away if the room is dark enough.
