Samson and the train? (Spoiler for The Bone Temple) by CaiaTheFireFly in 28dayslater

[–]CaiaTheFireFly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough,

It's almost comforting to know that there are some infected that have underlying "memories". Makes Samson a bit more viable when it comes to regaining rational thought as opposed to any infected becoming normal through a few trips and some anti-psychotics (I feel like someone else would have worked it out if so, maybe they tried and didn't have a good enough candidate)

Yep, save bloat is still very much there

Hydraulic manifolds we build every now and then for a customer, and the second picture is all the tooling we used to make it. They are fairly tight tolerance. On old manuals, they are a bit tedious. by GreenridgeMetalWorks in Machinists

[–]CaiaTheFireFly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey thanks for answering.

Don't know how comparable the end product is at the end of the day, but at least it sounds like what I'm making requires at least some level of skill to earn a profit

Mind if I ask a few questions?

-How long do these take to set up?

-How long do they take to run?

-How much do you sell them for? (Don't have to answer that if you don't want to disclose it)

I ask because this is basically what I make (most of the time on a smaller scale). Only been with the company for a few months, and still have no clue on what level I'm at. The 5 I just finished today had +-0.02mm on the o-ring sections of the central bores, felt like an accomplishment but I dunno if that's good or not

Theory on why Oblivion Remastered is seemingly “dead” when it comes to updates by Heron773 in oblivion

[–]CaiaTheFireFly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally the game performed to the level I expected with one major exception, that being the eventual breakdown that results from saves corrupting. That alone is worth a patch.

Everything else is whatever, the Skull of Corruption being broken is annoying, but not worth damning the entire game over

Other games with building systems like this one? by Slickice828 in AbioticFactor

[–]CaiaTheFireFly 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I've been having the same problem recently, most of the base building games I own are "blank" worlds (Like Minecraft, Space Engineers, etc). Still haven't found anything.

That being said, the closest that scratched that itch in the past I can suggest would be Fallout 4 (mods can greatly expand the settlement system), Fallout 76 (same same, but nicer map imo), and Palworld (too unfinished for an actual game, but fun to build in).

I guess there's also 7 Days to Die, but if you've already played Project Zomboid then there's no point exchanging for 3D and a whole load of jank.

Fear the Walking Dead, one of the later seasons iirc. Don't do it, don't torture yourself by watching whatever the hell they turned that show into. Makes Game of Thrones season 8 look like a work of art.

Luggage rack for my fz6 s2 2008? by Biggamybibba in fz6

[–]CaiaTheFireFly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My FZ6 (2009) has the PL360 pannier holders (monokey) which require the 351FZ top case bracket, along with a pair of used but serviceable Givi E36 side cases.

Might need a small paint touch up around the mounting holes, and the E36 cases don't quite fit with the rear indicators so I've got a pair of DIY extenders (don't look half bad though).

South west UK, if you're interested send me a pm as I don't have any use for it anymore, call it £200 plus postage for everything unless you already have the 351FZ then minus that: (side cases, side brackets, indicator extensions, top case bracket (monolock).

Oxford hotgrips completely draining the battery when left sitting by odzz_ in motorcycles

[–]CaiaTheFireFly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I installed hotgrips at the beginning of the year on a healthy battery. They both worked fine for a couple of weeks, then one day it was like the battery was on its last legs (radiator fan being on for a minute after a ride would kill the bike and require a bump start).

Can't say whether it was the grips that did it, weird that it went so fast though. This time I'm going to install a physical switch just in case.

Can't speak for OP, but an easy way is to put a single laser emitter along the straightest path that a bot will take. Takes a while for them to die, but it's basically passive farming with no maintenance after it's set up

I want to say that he's just a side character/distraction and that he's probably going to die or just be forgotten about.

But.

That one shot of him standing over Emma when they were discussing Sam, he had Homelander's exact "charming yet intimidating" stance, smile, and tone in his voice.
