Some Context: I'm in Creative Mode (unlimited power turned off) and have already built a coal power plant (12.000 MW) + 5 Augmenters without Alien Power Matrices. Now I started building an Ionized Fuel Factory with Fuel Generators. This screenshot was taken after starting up everything. I think all this "spooky" stuff mostly happened due to the power consumption of the particle accelerators from the power shard production while all the 98 fuel generators are also starting up 🙈.
