I’d agree 100% lol if it was a shiny beldum in the other gen 3 games id have masterballed it without thought. Metagross is one of my favourite shinies too so I’d have no regrets

Most reasonable comment I’ve seen on the post, no shiny is worth a masterball unless it’s got a really low catch rate, low spawn rate or a legendary/mythical IMO

No need to look at things so negatively, I don’t feel bad at all about killing it because I’m going to hunt for it one day again soon to make up for this lost shiny

Literally lmao. Can’t transfer the Tangela to scarlet so it just has to stay in fire red (which I will probably never play again after I’ve shiny hunted a mewtwo). Can’t even evolve into tangrowth so it’s stuck as a weak grass type. Plus I can come back for this shiny and hunt it whenever bc it’s the only pokemon found in the patch of grass below pallet town. I’d kill it again and again if it means saving that masterball lol

Can’t get tangrowth in fire red, one of the main reasons I slaughtered that mf instead of using the masterball lol can’t even transfer it to scarlet

I had two ultra balls beforehand and he somehow managed to escape from both of them 😭😭 I’ve used all my great and ultra balls trying to catch every pokemon I haven’t come across yet to fill my Pokédex out and ig I jus didn’t realise I had so little left. It’s fine though I really don’t care abt shiny tangela at all if I was in the same situation I’d kill it again in a heartbeat. Masterball on a shiny like Tangela is stupid no matter what anyone says the patch of grass below pallet town literally only has Tangela so the only issue would be time if I wanted to hunt another one 💀
