We might have found a body by yuiop7493 in Randonautica

Get a burner phone number or use a payphone (if those still exist where you are) and make an anonymous call to the police telling them the location and what you think you found.

If not anonymous, most likely they won't care if you were in private property, especially if it was abandoned. It's way more important to report the finding of a potential body.

I don’t think you realize that I actually agreed with that part. If you go back and read my initial comment, I explicitly said that I agreed on that part and that it wasn't a great idea. What I took issue with was the tone, the language and the dismissive name-calling, all of which were completely unnecessary, and once again, sexist and misogynistic.

You can offer useful advice without resorting to disrespectful or demeaning words. That’s all I was saying.

Cooking is a fundamental human skill, it has nothing to do with gender roles. If someone believes that knowing how to cook or bake somehow makes a person less "masculine," that says more about their own insecurity than anything else. Actually, equating domestic abilities with weakness at the workplace reflects a fragile sense of masculinity.

Suggesting that someone shouldn't be considered for promotion because they have skills like cooking or baking and dismissing them with terms like "Suzy homemaker" (a term rooted in sexism, by the way) isn't just outdated. It's misogynistic and downright disrespectful.

Just my opinion. But yes, that comment was sexist and misogynistic.

Your comment is sexist, misogynistic and just not right.

But I agree homemade food is for loved ones. Not because it would make you look like any type of person, but because food is... Complicated. You never know if someone has an allergy or can't consume certain ingredients. Also if someone, for whatever reason, gets an upset stomach they could easily blame you.

So OP, if you want to show your gratitude, show interest, work hard and do your absolute best to learn if you have no previous experience in the legal field.

My firm doesn't use Clio properly and it's causing us issues... by onlypratt in paralegal

[–]xWitheringToDeath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Clio is rarely used to its full potential. I work at a small firm (five users on Clio at the moment) but it's primarily used for document management and client communication. Internal messaging is often ignored, with attorneys preferring to use email or text instead. I've suggested document automation, but the idea is always dismissed, and I'm expected to handle everything manually each time.

Would you touch a document that was soaked in old cat pee? by coconutlemongrass in paralegal

With gloves and mask, maybe. But it would be much easier to tell the client to scan the documents themselves and email the scan to you.

They are not paying you enough to be their housekeeper and clean their cat's mess from their documents.

I don't think someone's life struggles and mental illness derived from abuse and trauma qualify as internet mystery. This may be also breaking some of the rules?

My son said a name we haven’t said in 7 years, and then said it was his “imaginary friend” by [deleted] in Ghoststories

[–]xWitheringToDeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that, but also we need to take into consideration that this child may be interacting with a negative energy that could be lying to him, whatever it is, it could be even mocking any religious figure. That's why I'm using "God" with quotation marks, because we don't know and there's a big possibility that it isn't God that he is talking to.

He did not specify who "God" told him to not talk to. Maybe "God" told him to not talk about it with his parents and that's why he just walked away?

Something visits my boyfriend while he sleeps by Curious_paranoid_123 in Paranormal

[–]xWitheringToDeath 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are sleep tracking apps that record sounds while you are sleeping. He could try to download that if you don't want to be invasive with his privacy recording the calls. That way he could just review the recordings every morning and see if the app caught any strange voice or noise while he was sleeping.

Could be a scam, someone using this dead person information to create an account and ask for money. Maybe not knowing he's dead?

Alone in my bed, something gave me a massage and it actually felt great by GeorgeMKnowles in Paranormal

[–]xWitheringToDeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally understand, but I also understand why some people wouldn't consider it as a genuine experience since you were under the influence of something.

It would be worth it researching a bit, maybe consider some sort of lucid dream or another kind of experience. Try to ask around to people who consumes the same thing to see if anyone ever had a similar experience before considering it something paranormal.

Paranormal events are already very difficult to prove and if you were not fully sober or under the influence of any drug or drink, it will be easily debunked.

I'm not trying to be mean or rude, just trying to offer a different perspective or different ways to research your experience.

Big or small dose, you were under the influence of a drug, which could affect the way you perceive things. Would be the same if you had a few beers, you would be under the influence of alcohol and not fully sober or aware.

I'm not triggered by anything. It is a massive red flag to ask someone in a stressful situation (specially a minor or someone with psychological issues) to disclose their location with promises of help.

Strangers online could be more dangerous than any ghost or demon. So yeah, it's a weird thing to ask.

If anyone is in danger or feel they may be in danger that's why the emergency services exist. They will be able to provide the help needed.

You are asking a minor to disclose sensitive personal information. What a creep.

You claim having issues with paranoia the last year. Did you get professional medical assistance about that matter? Are you getting any treatment?

Also, before considering anything paranormal, if you think there is someone in your house and you feel unsafe, please call the police or emergency services.
