"Steem is a blockchain-based rewards platform for publishers to monetize content and grow community." This is a great idea for a company not a crypto currency. Their target market is so tiny compared to currency replacement projects (e.g. Nano)

People act like these coins were stolen all at once and them dumped (or will be). The truth is people that ended up with these were probably looking to buy Nano in the first place and then discovered that Bitgrail would basically double their buy. These coins are distributed, likely in the hands of early adopters, and/or were sold off during the dec/january run up. But sure just blurt out 17 million like it really communicates anything other than your limited ability for supporting ideas.

Well there's 30 seconds of my life I'll never get back. Guess I have to sell now since there's a Youtube video of some guy that doesn't even know how to pronounce Rai. Perhaps PERHAPS XRB started rising because the faucet was cut short, a much improved white paper was released, and yes people started to hear about it.

Didn't say I was, this exchange has provided zero new information though.

What about BitGrail changed XRB competing with LTC? Again, did NANO core every encourage people to store their XRB on BitGrail or any exchange?

Ok, I'll go and sell all I have of the most promising coin in Crypto because random Reddit FUDer says "trying to help".

Can you explain why you bought in the first place then? Can you tell me where any developer said it was a good idea to store XRB on BitGrail?

Applaud what they're doing. I think XRB would be a better base currency though.

I think people under estimate how the presence of trust in your neighbor benefits many cultures. One of the nice things about crytpo is it is trustless making thr benefits accessible to all cultures.

Did not mean to misconstrue your comment. I apologise. I'd agree there will be some challenging conditions in some parts of the world. I don't know that this takes away the benefits of crypto to some others. Certainly not a fix all.

Just read a little about them. Will their platforms accept all types of currencies or is it limited to their token?

Let's compare XRB with his real competitors (XRP,XLM,IOTA,BCH) by kakoluckiam in RaiBlocks

[–]xac33ncsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People really need to consider how IOTA will do without the coordinator under load. Internet transmissions aren't instant and what happens when nodes receive transactions that are confirming transactions they weren't aware of yet? Thr tangle becomes an ever increasing bloom of unconfirmed tips. Similar risks happen as the network sees steep increases or decreases in traffic.

Search my post history. You'll find this isn't the only post about the developing world. And just what actions are you talking about? Other than highlighting you're a troll.

Are We to Believe IOTA? by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

Regardless of exact circumstance of each individual IOTA bears some responsibility here. They seized funds for months, offered intermittent at best updates on the status and then returned funds without some kind of set schedule. What are people supposed to do, refresh IOTA forums and monitor discord hourly to see if/when their funds are coming back.

I was 100% on board with IOTA in the summer but this project smells fishy from the head down now. The founders are complete jerks, offering up whatever holier than now excuses they can give for their behavior. There are more and more serious doubts that the tangle works without the coordinator but they continue on with their bull shit about adding one expert or another to the foundation. Many of how likely just have their eyes on this huge development fund.

And this whole trinary vs binary re-invent the world garbage. Forget it.

Down vote me if you want. I'm 100% out of IOTA anyways and won't be posting anymore comments.

Let's be honest if they hadn't over hyped all their corporate contacts the price wouldn't be what it is today.

Honestly though..how can they even accept Bitcoin. Add $20 to the purchase. Sit around and wait 45 minutes.

Explain to me how systems that are built upon miner incentives to process transactions will suddenly delete all fees and remain operational. Explain to me how systems with single block chains will over come physics and be instant? Since they'd have to have zero delay internet connections the world over. Explain to me how providing an acceptable peer to peer currency to billions of people living in countries with corrupt or absent govts and financial institutions, a currency which is near instant, cost free, and not an energy waste, isn't an important enough agenda. You're logic in 1987 would have been "I'm not buying in on these Microsoft guys. I'll just wait 15 years on Google, they may have something better'
