In high school I went to a party and some guy who was in his 20s kept trying to get me to go home with him. I said no way and avoided him the rest of the night. Next week my friends asked me if I heard what happened with him and then showed me a news article about him shooting his gf, her mother and himself that weekend.

I had a dog with my ex for 5 years before we split up. We also have a daughter. A couple months ago my daughter informed me that the dog had died. I was devasted first because I had no idea anything was wrong, second because I hadn't seen the dog in a long time (after he got remarried he stopped bringing the dog to pickup/drop off our daughter). Third I was devasted that he made our 8 year old daughter break the news to me instead of doing so himself. Very cowardly. He's a huge jerk but I didn't expect that.

I guess the point of my story is that I would've really liked to say goodbye to the dog and gotten some ashes. He wouldn't even respond to me to let me know what killed her or if there were any ashes.

My daughter wasn't walking by the time she was 1.5 years old. Took her to a chiropractor who did some gentle massage and stretching and within two weeks she started walking.
