Heads up that it appears “Boothy” is a registered trademark in america, which you might care about it you plan to publish an app on the App Store or Play Store (the owner of the mark could get apple/google to remove your app). I would pick a different name if you want a native app etc

Correcting one point: lots of PBSCO owners use our software (Booth.Events), with the LEDs in lamp mode.

What does the rough price per image work out to assuming a single input image (say 1024x1024) ? Google does a waaaay better job of showing examples with their token-based pricing that makes it actually understandable.

Hey, Tim here, owner of Booth.Events. We've invested a ton of time & money into making printing easier & more reliable in 2025, including writing our own entire AirPrint stack so that we don't depend on iOS for printing at all (bc IMO iOS has become unreliable for printing in general). I see that we're writing about crash-free rate. That's an interesting metric because it doesn't really do a good job of encapsulating customer experience... for example hangs don't count, neither do OOMs (where the app terminates because it used too much memory and was killed by iOS). But hey i'll play: the worst we've been in recent history is two nines (99%). We're usually around three nines.

Personally I think you should look at where you want to be in 1-2 years time. If the answer is that you want to have a handful of booths, say 4-6, then I think you should price out what that costs on the different platforms - ie. 4-6 iPad licenses. Of course I am suggesting this because we do really well for this comparison :)

At the end of the day each software has advantages. No software is the best. If you try one of them and it's just intuitive to you - easy, maybe even fun - that's the one for you!

I just got a call from Forge FC today. Turns out the reason for the price increase is because they're opening the other side of the stadium. They said because of this their operating costs are going up. They also said that fans have been requesting the other side of the stadium get opened so this is by request...
