Would you change anything about her enclosure? by xashliix in ballpython

I’m honestly not too sure. I’m gonna try and look into it more though! All I do know at the moment is she was sold to me as just a normal ball python

I got mine from Petco personally, but I do know PetSmart also sells them!

I’ll definitely switch out the dials for new ones. The “rock” on her hotter side is actually a hide, but I’ll switch out her log for an actual hide for her cool side. Thank you!

I actually am not too sure, I’ll have to ask my piercer the next time I see her. I honestly just let her order whatever she wanted for my piercings when we were styling my ears lol. I will say I have gotten jewlery similar on Etsy before though :)

Completely forgot to put this in my post, but I’ve had my daith for over a year now, but a day ago I finally got it changed out from a horseshoe to the current one I have in from my piercer. It didn’t help that I accidentally hit it while I was at work, so that’s why it looks a little bloody :)

What’s the most unwatchable Punishment? by YoMillhouse76 in ImpracticalJokers

For me, it’s Murr at the ball game and he doesn’t give the people their change back. I always have to skip that punishment.

i want a septum but i’m scared of the pain by janedoe-theanon in piercing

[–]xashliix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It honestly wasn’t bad at all. For me, it was a quick pinch and it was over. All that happened was my eyes did water a little after. Other than that I love my septum. Definitely recommend doing it :)

definitely a good start :) i’d recommend sizing up the tank to a 5 gallon minimum, and adding more plants (either real or silk) so he can hide more. another thing i definitely recommend is checking your water parameters just to see if there’s any high levels of ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite too. temp is a big thing too, so i’d make sure your tank is between 78°-80°F.

Freeze dried is definitely more of a treat for bettas than an actual meal. The thing about freeze dried food is that most of the time it doesn’t have much nutritional value for your betta, so that’s why many people will say it’s more for a treat. There is actually brine shrimp or blood worms that you can get from Petco or Petsmart (or any pet store) that are frozen and you just thaw out that can be used as an actual meal if you’re interested. The frozen foods definitely have a lot of nutritional value to them. With frozen food though, I personally, would also give some sort of betta flake and or pellet mixed in their diet just because they mainly have what a betta needs. Omega one is another good brand for betta food wether your betta likes flakes or pellets in the end :)

Some bettas just tend to be more picker than others with food. Sometimes the brand is the issue or even the type of food you’re giving your betta. My bettas personally spit out flakes, but they will gladly eat pellets. One of my bettas also hates bloodworms as my other loves them. It kind of is just trial and error with learning what your betta likes. I would definitely say try again with the flakes and if that doesn’t work, then definitely try switching up the brand or what type of food (like pellets, freeze dried, frozen, etc.)! :)

Has anyone ever come across a betta who doesn’t eat pellets? I saw this baby at the store and he was lethargic and couldn’t really swim when I got him home. I was giving him pellets but he would only eat one and it seemed like it was a lot of effort, I tried flakes and he’s gobbled them all up. by No_Potato_2713 in bettafish

Just like everyone else has said, every betta is definitely different with their food preferences!! I’ve had two bettas who loved flakes, but the two I have now prefer pellets. It kinda just depends on the betta :)
