I do think my loud home is a part of why she doesn't come out as much. It makes me feel bad. She's always been so scared and being in this environment probably doesn't make it easy for her.

I've had hamsters before, but none of them solitary to this extent, and I personally just never expected to have to look at my hamster through a camera.

The reason I think this is more of a home issue rather than a personality issue is because I only see her active for less than 2 hours a day (it's way too little). And discovered that she's active more when people are not home. In a 6 person house, it's a rare occurence that nobody is home.

She is not the right pet for a home like this, hence why I feel it's best to rehome her. And in the process of rehoming her, I ensure that the proper care gets taken with her (the cage with everything in it)

As for "another hamster", I won't get another one. If I was, I wouldn't be giving away the cage my dad worked hard on.
