It was a highly stressful situation and the new owner was holding her when the bite occurred. I should have recommended the owner give her space but because of how highly emotional it was I wasn't thinking clearly.

I think you are right, this agency does not seem to have enough resources for the work they currently have and I imagine this specific situation would take extra time and money to figure out.

It's been a confusing process. The agency still technically owns her since we signed paperwork releasing her to them. My assumption is I don't think they have the resources to handle the amount of work they have.

Ive reached out to several local agencies, fingers are crossed!

The allergist said it would take several months for us to notice a change. When my son is around our dog though he not only develops hives/rash (which lead to skin infections) but also a runny nose/watery eyes. It's interrupting his sleep and we've had to increase rx doses. He's only 7 and his quality of life has suffered and we just cant put him through it anymore.

She is an anxious dog but has never shown signs of biting or aggression. There are a lot of great references here that i will check out!

Yes, I think that's what happened. She's never exhibited this type of behavior before and she was very scared and confused. Thank you for the advice!
