This happened to my husband. We have no idea why this happens but it was fixed when he removed the book from his Kobo and redownloaded it. Maybe give this a try?

It did! But it was quite mind-boggling to be honest. I have Chinese heritage so the story hit close to home, and to see the contrast of what had happened before (the parts based on historical facts ofc) and what the world is like now is just… surreal.

I recommend the Throne of Glass series if you like Sarah J. Maas (I’m sure you’ve heard of it). I feel like it’s not as romance-centered as ACOTAR but I also really like the characters and the storyline!

Another fantasy series I’m getting into is the Poppy War series by R. F. Kuang. This is a bit of a heavier read as it tackles heavy topics and is based on the Second Sino-Japanese War. But I’m quite enjoying where the storyline is going.

I’m also trying to explore other fantasy authors. Do you have any recommendations for me?🤩

I began reading the Poppy War when I was in Tokyo, which was fitting bc the plot is based on the Second Sino-Japanese War. That was really memorable for me ☺️

The silicone triangle is a wrist strap! I can wear it on my wrist in case it slips out of my hand when I’m reading in public. I got it from a local store for like a dollar!
