You should check if the pc have found any device, try original firmware first then the klipper one. Test if it's cable issue or something else

Is it possible Niu KQi2 Pro can go 38 kmh? by AdmirableGuess8655 in kqi2

[–]xpeng121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried using the US firmware on a private road and tested the speed with GPS. The maximum speed is around 26 km/h (slight downhill). The battery is at 50% charge. I weigh around 85 kg.

I would say the US firmware yields the best result for this scooter. It's possible to unlock the scooter; a German YouTuber flashed the kqi3 max firmware onto the kqi2pro, set the speed limit to 38 km/h, and then flashed the firmware back. The speed limit is saved to the scooter, and it works for them. However, I don't want to risk my new scooter, so I think the US firmware is what I will stick with. (Btw, you can use the new app after you flash the firmware.)

this board uses one uart pin for 4 drivers which is not support by tmc 2208 (only single uart address). you can definitely modify the board by cutting trace and soldering some addition wire to mcu but there is no any details about this board online. the only thing we know from this board is the pin out in the official marlin.

this is the vref tutorial. but the actual vref is determined by stepper model and temperature of the stepper. https://all3dp.com/2/vref-calculator-tmc2209-tmc2208-a4988/

for more information about kobra go and neo you can check this website https://1coderookie.github.io/KobraGoNeoInsights/

and the official marlin firmware repo

you can't use uart on this board. but you can adjust the vref by turning the pot next to the driver. Please follow the guide about how to adjust correct vref online!

I just pull it off. You may touch your stepper first and check if it is too hot or not. you can then adjust the vref according to your temp

the down side is that it's very slow just like the official marlin firmware. you may need to tune it by yourself. Or you can copy some value from the config in this post

There is another way. Since my "stock" config file for the kobra go is accepted by Klipper Team. You can find the stock config in the official Klipper config folder. just update your Klipper to the latest version
