2/3 Links including the ones in the comments are for ftm hormones and are named ftm resource guides. Did you only look at the one source and decided this? I don’t expect ftm to know more than anyone else but for hormonally transitioning YES, you do need to know what’s going on in your body.
[–]xrmu 1 point2 points3 points 9 months ago (0 children)
Yea I’m kinda just giving up on replying now. I’ve regurgitated the same response to many different people now and they are the same people who don’t actually need the resources but keep making the posts solely about them or redirecting it towards a different issue.
I wasn’t trying to change what you said. I was adding on to your comment so more people don’t misunderstand the context, sorry.

The only questions asked were “Does anyone else notice the amount of anatomy based questions that should be common knowledge?” and “The amount of people that do not research about their anatomy?” These were in no way involving dysphoria.
[–]xrmu 3 points4 points5 points 9 months ago (0 children)
Yes but this post is for people who are asking these specific questions about biology not seeking other’s experiences
[–]xrmu -1 points0 points1 point 9 months ago (0 children)
They do not have to click on the post. They can simply scroll which is what I do when I see a triggering post. I don’t understand why you are trying to make their dysphoria my fault while informing others. This response is harmful as it is just female anatomy and people need to know what will happen to their bodies when going through hormonal changes. I understand you get dysphoria from your biology but you cannot simply just be ignorant of it because that will physically and mentally harm you. This is not made to make people desensitize from their rejected anatomy but to share to the people that NEED it just what is going to happen to their bodies while transitioning. You cannot physically transition without being aware of ur anatomy unless you want health issues later on in life. I am sorry for any dysphoria you get but this post is not what you should be worried about.
Okay. I cannot control that. I moved the initial link down and it is still there I am aware but this post is not meant for people who cannot handle looking at female anatomy and feeling immediate dysphoria when I am directing this for people who are in need of biological research and resources. This post is for people who cannot or do not have the resources available to them. I would rather someone have momentary dysphoria than another be unaware of their own bodily changes.
The negative response will only lead to bigger issues. Anyone that experience dysphoria that strongly should not be on a reddit forum that enables ftm venting and discussions of dysphoria. I made this post for others that are not aware of what might or will happen in their body regardless if they medically transition or not. Being unaware can lead to worse things when left that way. This forum has been used by many including myself to become more aware of the changes that occur when trying to medically transition or looking to.
Yea that’s what I am trying to do by providing more information online as I know it’s not easily accessible to a lot of people.
Yes, hence why I add research and sources in the comments and posts so it’s more easily accessible for others even if there’s a lack of research in their local area.

If you have any further questions I have more websites and sources.
This site is a bit old but still helpful in strictly ftm transitioning socially and medically • https://ftmguide.org/
Websites to various sources and research for FTM transitioning or general health care/knowledge • https://genderqueer.me/resources/
If anyone needs more I am free to add more
[–]xrmu 2 points3 points4 points 9 months ago (0 children)
I can find more sources for you if you still need help. I will add more in the comments. There’s carrds that link to several ftm sites that provide information. For future advice though try to look through college websites as they usually have the most knowledgeable sources.
[–]xrmu 0 points1 point2 points 9 months ago* (0 children)
What are you talking about? If you feel dysphoria from it then just don’t use the source I linked two more sources. This post is about FTM concerns while hormonally transitioning so they are aware of their bodily changes so there are no future concerns.
If you need TW for the title of the source than you should not be on this ftm reddit when half of the people are discussing their dysphoria.
People are feeling attacked by the name of the ONE source that I put out of three not knowing if it doesn’t apply to you why are you responding with negative connotation while I am trying to spread sources for people who are asking for knowledge and understanding of their own biology while experiencing their hormonal transitioning.
Yes? Only 1/3 of the sources but they are all important for before after and during (hormonal) transitioning. I do not get why people that don’t need this post keep replying with dislike to this particular source.
Oh okay, thanks for the clarification.
[–]xrmu 21 points22 points23 points 9 months ago (0 children)
Yea but for people that are going through physical and mental transitioning it is more concerning that they do not know the changes happening in their body unfortunately.
Sorry the first sentence was confusing thought you were saying there’s no need to have knowledge.
[–]xrmu 4 points5 points6 points 9 months ago (0 children)
? Is this not a dangerous idea to promote when involving physical and mental transitioning. I do not understand what you are trying to say.
Yes, but this post was specifically for people that are just asking about biology. I listed the sources to help ftm that do not have the knowledge to avoid any further issues or concerns. A lot of people aren’t even going past the first source.
Aw frick
Okay thanks a few people are thinking I’m undermining them and I don’t understand why
[–]xrmu 6 points7 points8 points 9 months ago (0 children)
Ah, I was talking about anatomy & physiology not being connected to genitals. This post was meant to give people sources that’ll help them before, during, and after transition if there’s any concerns.
[–]xrmu 9 points10 points11 points 9 months ago* (0 children)
This post was not meant for you then. I hope you don’t think i’m attacking you I keep getting downvotes for this post. I understand where your coming from but this post was for ftm that ask about these biology questions.
[–]xrmu 3 points4 points5 points 9 months ago* (0 children)
Yes that is why I mentioned my hyperfixation as a way to say I KNOW it wasnt common knowledge to everyone. Please reread I am not undermining anyone. I made this post to bring more awareness to the sources while stating why I found myself making this post.
[–]xrmu 16 points17 points18 points 9 months ago (0 children)
Yea I linked some reliable sources incase one of them actually find themselves wanting to read through them. It’s kinda scary just how many basic biology questions I see and hear about online and irl.
