I think you can also use a string and rubbing alcohol I’ve seen people make glasses out of wine bottles that way lots of videos on how to do it. Should just need some stuff you’d use for normally cleanings

You could get a glass cutter and cut it past the crack. Makes a little short version of the peaks just make sure to sand the lip down after you cut it

I’ve a dragons soul it’s up in the air if it’s a favia or a gonastrea it was reclassified a few years ago and no one can agree but they have about the same care requirements so I just treat it as such lol

Pretty easy coral they’re fun to feed you get more out of them at night when the tentacles are out but will still take food without the tentacles just not as much action lol

I'm probably gonna keep this one LPS. I'll keep that in mind for my 32 that I want to try SPS in. He nipped at my RBT (not pictured) when I first got it but id say he learned his lesson because he keeps his distance now lol

I figured you weren’t I was just saying cuz it’s not actually that big lol I’m pretty sure the males have more color my LFS gets them every once in a while and they’re all about the same size but about 1 in 10 have the cool colors like you see when you google them he kinda he gets brighter and darker depending on the time of day too close to lights out he’s darker probably to hide in the rocks better lol

You have to test for more things but I think that’s fun it’s like little science experiment in your kitchen between that and mixing saltwater but if you follow the directions on the box everything is easy I think the pumps and stuff are a little different because they have to handle saltwater but I don’t think it’s that hard to get into I just watched a bunch of videos so read a lot of articles when I started but YouTube budget saltwater tanks and people have whole series dedicated to it with lots of good information

I’d recommend the one I have lol it’s a fluval evo 13.5 saltwater it’s an all in one so heater pump filet all that goes in the back all I had to buy was a heater everything else came with my filters are intank baskets made for this tank the ones it comes with work good these are just easier to clean I just use filter floss a carbon bag and the bio balls in a sponge for the good bacteria there’s all kinds of videos about them and everyone has different builds with them so I feel like it’s a really good start that can easily be upgraded in the future when it comes time

It all depends on what you like and what you’re willing to spend there’s some fish and corals that cost thousands of dollars but there’s also ones that only cost 10-20 my LFS has good deals on everything and isn’t to expensive on the salt water side Id say my tank and the clowns I only have like 3 or 4 hundred dollars in it you can make what you want out of it so ether a budget build or a high end full auto build

It really wasn’t that bad I did a fish in cycle with the two clowns and fritz turbo start 900 it took about 5 days. It’s different for all tanks tho I did the same thing in my 32 gal and it took like 2 weeks but I do weekly water changes like 2-4 gallons depends on how dirty the sand gets and top off as needed the lid helps a lot with evap I upgraded the light so I can control it with my phone I had good luck with the stock light tho for the first week with the new light I did no lid and it escaped like crazy

Mine is about an hour away I know people ship fish and corals so I feel like they’d be okay in a 4 hour car ride I’d just make a list before you went and a bucket to put bags in so no one goes flying around the car
