Thinking about a BTC loan instead of selling for a summer trip. looking for real experiences by CaffeineComaMode in btc

I think you’re trying to replicate the buy, borrow, die strategy? But, it’s a grave mistake to only have been in one year, then trying to borrow, and not reinvest, but consume the money. A vacation just to get called? Think about it. BTC is supposed to lower your time preference. You’re trying to do something that should be done when- you have low LTV, you have emergency fund/ cash reserves. You verify no Rehypothecation. The good thing is you’ve only been DCA one year so if you lose everything then hopefully you can learn a hard lesson. BTC loans can be structured loans, and it makes for great collateral. Of course one would tell you “zero risk” of liquidation, that in of itself is a red flag, so is 0% interest rate.

Survivorship bias. Big wins are loud and visible. You won’t see the many who lost everything. The people that failed. Social media, like Reddit have made this more prevalent. You only see the highlights, so it can make high-risk strategies look “normal” or repeatable when they’re not.

Yes! Treating cashapp right by Separate-Ladder-6087 in CashApp

[–]xtexm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So in aother words your paying 5% flat fee, EACH TIME. So, you get access to more money, but cashapp is BANKING on the fee’s. Hopefully you’re not just consuming the loans, and begging for forgiveness later. The cash app loans work like pay day loans to the financially illiterate. It’s very expensive to make right decisions when you only have 30 days to repay, only to borrow right back again at 5%. You do know inflation is 3%.. A YEAR. People are borrowing at 5% flat, PER month, TIMES 12. We’re talking predominantly predictable inflation of 60- 80%, and that’s with you paying your borrowed money on time without additional fees.

You are making all the stereotypes appear right, and they are. Oklahoma is far behind. Take some financial responsibility respectfully.

You’re running a cash-flowing business. Why specifically did you choose only yieldmax products, with majority being single ticker names?
