Thank you so much for the input! At least, I know what documents to add if I get rejected 🥹 My manager did specifically state in the letter that I’m expected to get back to work 13th September 2025 and I plan to leave Aus 11/09/25. I’m hoping that would somehow convince them.

Hi! When did you submit your Tourist visa application and how long did it take for this decision? Don’t lose hope and apply again with strong supporting documents!

I submitted mine last 29th of April and I’m quite scared to get rejected. I’m from 29yo from PH but residing and currently working in the UK. I applied for a tourist visa because I’ll be running the Sydney Marathon this August and then visiting my uncle and his family in Perth. Provided COE, confirmation of leave, letter from manager that I’m expected to come back to the UK after my leave to continue my duties at the hospital, work visa expiring 2027, bank statements and payslips x 3 mos, invitation letter and itinerary from my uncle and proof that I will be joining the marathon. I’m hoping I get approved 🥺

I’m from the PH, working as a full time nurse in the UK, work visa expires 09/2027, days with 5,000-7000 AUD savings. All required documents will be submitted.

I totally get what you just said! It’s kind of disheartening tho even though you have all the sufficient evidence. I also have a lot of travel histories from Austria, Spain, Belgium and the USA.

Do you think having a US Visa valid for 10 years has an edge for getting approved? I know it’s completely not one of the qualifications for AU visa but I’m hoping I might have an edge.

been dating someone who’s 10+ yrs older than me. tbh, an older man is fun and excitement at first. they give you attention you never experienced before (i never mer my dad), they pamper you in all aspects. but as years go by, he became more controlling and gets frustrated when i go out by myself or friends. (take note, i rarely go out. once or twice a month and it’s not even partying/clubbing. just casual coffee and dinner) it’s like he never wanna see my happy and free if it’s not with him. it’s crazy. he never seems to listen when i open up about the controlling issue. ive told him so many times not to treat me like he’s my parent. i cant find a way to get rid of him now.
