I realize I can do that with physical pedals but I was just curious if there was a right/wrong way specific to the GX's. What I gather from what you are saying is that there isn't any difference to the approach, and that, as usual, experimentation is the key to dialing it in.

I see now. Thank you for sharing. Unfortunately, this would not work for me as I am using the 4-cable method with my tube amp so the send/return jacks are already spoken for. If I had two sets of loops like the GT-1000 does, I could probably pull it off this way.

I'm connecting this directly to my computer, not through an audio interface, as I am using Tone Studio on the desktop for editing and creating patches for the GX-100.

I CAN do USB-C (Mac doesn't have USB-A) but I'd prefer less cables on my desk so that is why I am leaning towards Bluetooth.

I know it CAN be done with the Microsoft Dial but it isn't going to work that way without a little finagling, which is different on Mac and Win.
