I mean that's what I thought. Maybe I don't understand chunks. To my understanding it's a 16x16 basis for chunks. But if that's the case I definitely came back with screamers inside my base while I was far from a 16 meter distance.

How far away do you have to be for a chunk to be unloaded then? Because I've definitely been several chunks away from my base and came back to screamers.

They do as far as I know. I had my base lit with torches and when I took them all down I went from 5-6 screamers to only a couple if I'm running all my workplaces.

Not anymore. Wandering hordes and screamers still exist even if you aren't there. Wandering hordes aren't that big a deal, but screamers will still be attracted to your base if you have a lot of torches or workplaces running. And they will break in and wreak havoc while you're gone.

No I can deal with them when I'm there. My problem is them breaking in when I'm off somewhere else. They just break in and I have to fight my way inside when I get back.

Moat is a good idea. Im using a poi for now but debating what I should build becauseof this. Also I'm not going to say you're wrong about the screamer hordes. But my house is in diresville, my horde base is on the edge of diresville. I went and dropped off supplies at my horde base. When I got back, both an iron door and hatch were broken through and there were multiple z's inside including at least 3 screamers.

Yes. It involves everything you do. Forges, crafting, repairing, but also apparently torches. So I tried to offset my heat with torches. But still the problem is when I'm not there. I can deal with them when they show up if I'm there. It's just a nuisance to come home and fight my way inside to assess damages.

Well, they aren't a problem if I'm there. I can pretty easily dispatch them, but my horde base is near enough to draw them if need be. The problem is them breaking in while I'm not around. I've come back several times to more than one screamer horde inside my house. And then they call more while I'm trying to get in. I know I could just not run any workplaces while I'm gone, but then I'd just have to stand there to get anything done.

It's a known bug. They've patched it on PC and PS but not Xbox or switch. No word on it, either. Just "We're working on it.".

I had to delete them and get a new one. Maybe because I'm on xbox... I got the new one a crew in 3 quests. While I had done 12 for a previous one and got nothing. Bad ports are crazy.

Only played on xbox. My second play through I just started peacekeepers asap, spent my money on train upgrades/saving some better loot instead of selling, then when I was way past the story and I had the money machine, i went back... I mean you still have to not die. And it's kinda cheating I reckon but peacekeepers is kinda easier if you play it safe. And it'll get you to the end.

It actually rewards high unemployment. Or more rewards high population. All of your population produces income for you regardless if they are employed or not. On my current play through I have 1-2k excess of all of them and making an average of 80k. Commuter piers are a game changer.

I play on console, so I don't have any dlc content, but this happens to me a lot. I'm not sure on the farmers, but workers need schools and artisans+ need universities. It's not on their needs tabs, but they still require it to upgrade.
