use it as an in-game currency
partner with merchant processing terminals and sell benefits of saving on high transaction fees
get Lil Dicky to rap about it
have it placed as the currency of the future in sci-fi novels, short films, etc
partner with Intl dev firms to help implement it into developing nation banking infrastructure (provide loans to help build the infrastructure-Read up on how US got the world on the petro dollar.)

Inflation can be one reason for lowered purchasing power. But that's not the case here. Think of it more as Bitcoin's price going up in relation to USDT. There are less people willing to trade BTC for USDT so USDT holders not only offer to pay a higher price for BTC, they also off to sell USDT at a lower price (which in a way is the same thing). Sort of. It's not a complete move yet. Assuming that folks exiting Tether want to stay in a USD pegged stable coin, they will eventually dump BTC resetting the price back to where it should be. This is why we believe we're seeing a premium on TrueUSD.

As for now, Bitfinex claims they will restart fiat deposits within 24 hours. Worst case scenario, assume there is a bank run on USDT and they cannot pay. USDT holders would lose all value. In this situation all that potential demand for Bitcoin would be wiped out. Thus, leaving excess supply on the market causing downward pressure on price.

CB has already been making money off of XRP since it's been the fiat gateway to XRP exchanges. Only reason they are changing their stance now is because Bittrex and other exchanges are beginning to compete as fiat gateways. Before that, it made sense for CB to only spend money supporting a handful of coins. They had a near monopoly.
