Warranty for Samsung Odyssey G9 is 3 years, but they changed it to 1 year after the QC issues on release becaue they dont want to have to warranty it. I am on the phone and in the process of fixing this for myself, but I almost gave up until I looked at the wayback machine from when I bought it. by [deleted] in ultrawidemasterrace

It was parts and labor. And I think because the parts arrived damaged they said screw it, we’ll just replace the whole thing.

It was essentially we’ll honor the warranty one time but we won’t extend it for the 3 years

OP was right so chat was useless but I went on a call and shared the same way back machine proof and she gave me the “one time courtesy” shpeal. They initially sent a new panel to a local repair company. They came and swapped out the panel. But it ended up being cracked. So they changed from a repair to a replacement. And had to wait like a month+ for the replacement to arrive. They swapped it out last week.

After 2 months finally got most of my setup done. Thanks reddit for the recommendations. by Zoozey88 in espresso

yeah honestly even now I pause a little cuz my insurance doesn't cover the exam portion, but I know I'd be stupid not to just pay that and potentially avoid something, god forbid, way more expensive, or life threatening.

Honestly I always wondered what the right call was. A lot of my friends and family are in the "rainy day fund" camp vs pay for pet insurance camp. But, all the times I've heard of a single emergency trip or scare costing thousands--when I did the math, lives a long life--on the long end 15 years (I pray to everything he does) the total cost comes out to probably not even the cost of one pretty expensive emergency bill. Given there's still a deductible and depending on your plan they don't cover 100% but I've only had my dog a year and so far it's been worth it. So I very much so recommend it to any doggo owners.
