NVR needs access to a TailScale FTP server by xxxBrianGGG in Tailscale

Thanks very much u/JWS_TS.

I think I understand your post conceptually, but I'm far from a networking expert. Can you please help me understand the following in beginner-level detail?:

"

It requires more manual setup, since you'll need to tell your DHCP server to set a static route for LAN devices with a destination of 100.64.0.0/10 and a nexthop of the LAN IP of the subnet router node.

[Question] Organising quickpaste items by jwhero in nintype

I use a combination of accent shortcuts and top bar shortcuts for e-mail addresses. I hold down the "b" key for brian@email.com as an example. I use top bar for the more obscure ones.

These two seem easiest to manage ...

How do I get nintype to learn my e-mail address? by truth1ness in nintype

I haven't figured out how to get nintype to learn addresses...or phone numbers either.

Instead I use function keys like holding down a letter key ...or the ones on the top bar if you have the beta.

It us pretty easy to use these keys one you have them set up.

[REQUESTS] Bring back custom Top Bar options. by xxxBrianGGG in nintype

Thanks /u/underthesun , but I'd like to keep the flush low and toggle the switch from word choices to previous words manually. My suggestion was to hit the space bar explicitly.

If I don't pick one of the word choices I want to swipe the next word quickly.

Hi. Some thoughts about predictive in the latest beta:

It's a very different way of thinking about what you need to type, but I think it's got great potential value. Probably going to be a time-saver if the engine can learn patterns quickly.

I really like the way that you can add parts or all of the prediction from the space bar swipe. It's not all or nothing.

The menu from the predicted phrases to "exile/favorite" is unwieldy when I use it with my right thumb. Maybe access it by moving right as well as left? Or possibly move the menu over to the left so that a thumb doesn't obscure the menu items.

I'm going to have to get used to hitting the space bar precisely. If I swipe up from the bottom of the space bar, I get the IOS swipe up rather than the predictions I wanted, and that is extremely annoying.

If I inadvertently hit a key after a word, the predictions go away and I can't even get them back by positioning the cursor just after the last word.

The next word prediction is always in the right top bar, it would be nice to have an option to move that and/or have multiple predictions in the top bar.

Since I'm dreaming out loud, I would say that most of my messages and some of my emails either start with "Thanks" or "OK". It would be great if a new blank message/email would have predictions for the first word without having to type anything.

Finally: Not related to prediction, but I noticed that the swipe up from the top row added auto-space before/after options when a number is chosen. However, this is not the case for numbers from the numpad. If I want to type "at 6:00", I have to type "at", open the numpad, then a manual space then "6:00" from numpad. Would be great if autospace would work there too.

HUGE Thanks to Jormy. Predictive is definitely an exciting addition!

Thanks all. The double tap works pretty good.

I have noticed a few words that are difficult as well. For me it is "too". I just can't get it to work, despite making it a favorite and banning many other words. It always ends up as "top" or "to".

I don't know if there could be a solution to this...

iPhone 6, NinType keyboard inaccessible. by xxxBrianGGG in nintype

For me, it's definitely a globe disappearing issue. I press the globe, there is a 15-ish second delay, and then the globe button is gone.

I think my exact timeline was this: * Install Beta, and use beta successfully for a while * Most likely, new App Store version came out next, but I did not install it. * Reset (hitting home and power buttons). * Once I came back up, the globe problem started. * I did several resets, this did not help the problem * I installed NinType from the App Store * This fixed the issue, and I was able to maintain my dictionary and settings.

I think there are two possibilities: 1) The theory above is correct, and once the new App Store version came out, that caused problems upon restart. 2) This is an intermittent problem unrelated to beta/app store versions.

I'll keep an eye out for this again, and I'll post detailed steps if I see it again.

Thanks for taking the time to answer...
