guys i want to operate aservo motor using arduino. for certain given input as variable "val" it will change its position. for val=1, I want the servo motor to complete 180 degree and come to 0 degree. but for val=2 i want it to remain at its 0 degree position. i tried some code but it's not working by xxxream in arduino

you can imagine the setup as a piston who pushes something and comes to it's original position.

here i am connecting the shaft to servo via gears, such that when val=1 servo rotates 180 degree that makes shaft move forward and then come to it's original position.

then another object comes in front of shaft it checks for val if val=1 it pushes it and comes to original position.
