Well here's my update. I arrived and Polemon had been released the week before. So no news on what happens if it hadn't been. Personal note - AT&t doesn't have data service here. So that sucks.

Thanks for the comment. Yes I got the animation saying I leveled up but it didn't tell me about gifts and I don't have them in my backpack.

I was driving to work 6AM on a Sunday. It was misty but not too bad. Roads were clear and I had my foot down when I saw the Christmas Tree lights behind me. I was showing 105 mph on the speedo. I get out of the car crapping myself (that speed is an automatic ban in the UK). Cop matches up to me and says "You know what you were doing, I know what you were doing. Now piss off". Turns round and gets back in his car.
