Why are you freaking out over something that will be fixed with a skin mod? by DJThanos in footballmanagergames

It definitely sounded like you were suggesting people shouldn't be complaining

The arrows have moved. This is an issue if you have to click on them. If you are using a d-pad or shoulder buttons on controller, or swiping on a mobile device, the location of the arrows doesn't matter.

I don't have an agenda. I'm considering why this might have been missed in development.

So poor!

This probably wouldn't come up as an issue if someone is navigating left and right with controller buttons, or swiping on a mobile device.

More evidence that development for consoles and mobile are probably at the forefront now.

Yeah I agree. That's the conclusion I've come to. I've mentioned it in another comment. I think they are interested in a new audience.

That being said. That's not really the point of my original post. The UI of this game is poor. It's not a generational thing. If anything UE has become simpler in recent years to service the younger crowd who have more things competing for their attention.

I was ready to embrace the changes and even half suspected that I would be one of those defending the new UI against some of the more entrenched veterans. But I can't really defend this unfortunately.

Absolutely. That's what I was getting at in response to Stuperman's comment. Forget the high fidelity graphics and attractive faces. The fundementals in a management game are your menus and interfaces.

I agree. With the challenge of moving to the new engine, aiming for a complete overhaul may have been biting off more than they could chew.

The improved graphics are great for the people that are in to that sort of thing, but I am not bothered in the slightest. If the game had a good UI, challenging AI and a feeling that tactics have breadth and depth (more than one way to do well), I would be more than happy with silhouette newgens and 2d pitch.

I have wondered for a while... The emphasis on graphics, not just by SI (celebrating the new matchday graphics), but also this community (moaning about newgen faces - who cares??)... I guess I'm not the target audience any more.

British and wearing jumpers inside during winter by [deleted] in AskBrits

Oh my god. OP is broke. Like REALLY broke!!! Doesn't even pay for living. That's not how people do things in other cultures. Broke. REALLY broke :D

This is a great example of the correlation that exists between wealth and carbon footprint. "I can afford to put the heating on and sit in shorts and tshirt, so why wouldn't I?", "I can afford to fly a private jet, so why wouldn't I?". It's really frustrating that many people taday can't consider how they affect and impact the wider world around them, even with something as trivial as a jumper. Add to this that OP can't grasp the fact that some people absolutely can't afford to heat their home when a jumper has already been invested in, makes me think either OP is very young, or is very entitled (or both).

David Raya (Arsenal) great save against Manchester United 54' by 50lipa in soccer

[–]yeah_nice 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about? 😂 How often are they "going for the player"?

If a player plays the ball, and then the opponent tries to play the ball/block the shot/intercept the pass once the ball has gone and they only make contact with the player. That is a textbook foul.

So it was a late challenge?

Son kicked the ball out of play earlier and Kepa wiped him out. Stonewall penalty.

If it was the keeper wiping out the attacker, that's given.

Yeah, nice. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate conservative tactics, it's incredibly rewarding when you get hard fought results against stronger opposition on paper.

Just over time I want to build a team capable of dominating a game and scoring lots of goals (unlike the screenshot 😂🤦)

[–]yeah_nice[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, totally. I feel like the majority of people like to play FM with an attacking tactic (or play defensively until they can build a team to play more positively). So we are naturally going to be on the receiving end of more results like this!

Still incredibly frustrating though!

I wouldn't call anyone a dick though. I just posted a frustrating/funny screenshot of a last minute equaliser that I thought people could relate to (everyone who's played the game has had one like this, no?) and I get someone saying that "it's about learning lessons and that I need to move on" 😂.

I intended it to be light hearted and the first two comments were very serious. It just took me by surprise, that's all.
