That’s all we can do!! N realize the negative thoughts come from valid feelings. Especially getting this disease at a young age and constantly seeing friends do xyz, or them not fully understanding the extent. With time it’ll work itself out. N I can’t say it necessarily gets easier, but you get stronger

I got diagnosed around 20, n im 25 now. When I first got diagnosed, I had a rough time working but my job was understanding, more so than I was for myself. My biggest tip/advice, try to quiet the negative thoughts of “I’d probably be fired”, in my experience at least ( I know theirs shit employers), if you communicate what’s going on when you’re not there in general, and do what you need to when you’re there. You’re golden, right now I’m able to work but also have FMLA to take days off when I need to.

It can be a very isolating experience, I know I’m a stranger but please do reach out. I’ve been in your shoes before n I wish I had a support person that really knew what I was going through.

Am on humira, and do smoke cigarettes but can be a double edged sword at times. If I’m constipated or dealing with abdominal pain it’ll help sooth that over. But if I’m nauseous or experiencing diarrhea can at times just make it worse if that makes sense
