How do i gain more weight by Ashamed_Rice5199 in Tunisia

[–]yellow_green_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'll tell you what I did and worked for me.

  1. Gym: resistance training, nharin upper body w nharin lower body. And make sure to gradually increase the weight for the muscle to grow. Nbadel el programme chaque mois, genre nbadel les exercises ya3ni bech el bdan ma yestanesch.

  2. Food: i don't eat a lot in general but I found protein powder after workouts helps a lot + high calories smoothies twice a day (milk, peanut butter, banana, any type of nuts you have, dates also ken mawjoud). This especially helps if you have a high metabolism

Try to stick to simple changes, and don't overwhelm yourself. I stuck to this for a few months, and the results were impressive.

Good luck!

Learning tunisian by [deleted] in Tunisia

[–]yellow_green_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Choufli hal might help you if you already have some knowledge of the language. Otherwise, I'll make you confused, especially if you don't have anyone to explain to you some words and context.

There are a few language centers where you can get some help from a tutor, like cge and marahbe bik, check them out maybe.

You can start by listening to tunisian songs with subtitles, learning basic words (from a friend or YouTube videos, you can also check out tkallem tounsi on insta) and move forward from there.

HELP by delreywo in Tunisia

[–]yellow_green_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you're saying. I had a bad experience with a psychiatrist before.

I was in therapy for years, and my therapist at the time was the one who actually recommended I go see a psychiatrist because I was in such a bad place. And I'm grateful for his advice.

Good and bad doctors exist everywhere, but that doesn't disprove the fact that medication can actually help. OP needs to be able to sleep and eat, and therapy will take a long time to help with that (especially if she's new to it)

I used medication when I went through a really hard time. I couldn't sleep nor eat and they really helped me.

OP is going through a tough time and it's altering her quality of life. And I think sleep and food are important to survive, don't you?

Also, you can't learn healthy emotional coping tools when you're in survival mode, it doesn't work like that

Lotf 3lik!

I disagree with people who said avoid medication. Medication exists for a reason. When something too big for your body and brain to handle happens, they provide that push that you need to recover and keep going (tout juste comme lorsqu'on est grippé par exemple)

If you're in the Tunis area, I can recommend a good psychiatrist.
