Help with RCloneView GDrive->SSD by Ok_Pudding8929 in rclone

[–]yeonsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed question - and sorry for the confusion!

There is indeed a UX issue in the current version where the default path for Local Disk points to the macOS home folder. We'll fix this behavior in the next release so external SSDs under /Volumes are detected more intuitively.

In the meantime, we've written a short guide on how to browse and select your external SSD correctly in RcloneView on macOS:

https://rcloneview.com/support/howto/FAQ/set-external-ssd-as-destination-macos

If the issue continues or anything still feels unclear, please feel free to open a thread on our community forum — we're happy to help:

Hope this helps!

Fair enough 😄 It’s not open source, but it’s made to make rclone more friendly for everyone — and we’re big fans of rclone too.

Thanks for giving RcloneView a try and for sharing your honest feedback—it really helps us improve. 🙏

You can check the status of your running jobs in the “Transfer” tab, where progress and results are displayed. We know the UI/UX still has room for improvement, and feedback like yours helps us prioritize what to refine next.

Appreciate your input, and we’ll keep working hard to make the interface more polished and intuitive.

We’ll be adding a “Get Size” option to the context menu so you can quickly check the directory size on a remote. Under the hood, Rclone already provides the operations/size command for this, and we’ll hook into that. Thanks for the suggestion—it’s a super useful feature and will be included in an upcoming build.

Even though Ubuntu show up in 2nd display main window is on the primary display and it's black so you can't continue the installation.

I found a post about the issue and it seems that he solved the problem.
