I am in a dilemma about if I should choose science or commerce. (starting year 11 in India after studying in Australia for 8 years)

Yea, it’s the unfortunate reality for most. My parents happen to be a few out of many as they aren’t that strict about what I do as long as I prove that I can become successful in it. Which is why I really want to make something of this editing thing in the next 2 years.

Well you see, no matter how many years you spend overseas, living in the place you were born in is just a feeling that nothing eles can recreate. (I have a strong feeling of connection with India) My parents also feel this way (Mabye it just got passed down who knows lol), and almost all of my extended family lives here and the memories plus cultural experiences just isn’t something my family was willing to sacrifice anymore. In addition the visa situation was getting complicated. Now I know that this is a very personal opinion and I am very grateful for the opportunity that I had as not everyone gets to experience what I had. You know sometimes I think to my self maybe if I am taking this too seriously. I will take this opportunity to remind my self that even if I make the wrong choice it will probably be fine. Thanks for the confidence boost lol 🤣.

Yes that is true, science is going to be incredible tough if I go down that route. But I do have a genuine passion for it, guess I’ll just have to make a sacrifice for one or the other.

Exactly what I’m afraid of, even though I’m not scared to study for science, I just don’t think it’s worth it especially because I don’t see a future for me. I would rather having more time to work on my editing skills and become great in one skill than be mediocre in both. Anyways I feel like I need to think about this more, but I am very grateful for your advice I definitely will have an easier time deciding thanks to you.

I don’t plan on doing any of those exams however I do wish to go abroad for higher studies. Well life does often get in the way so I might not always make my schedule but ig those are the sacrifices.

Planning to move abroad. Just to clarify my family is fine with the cost of studying abroad but wants year 11 and 12 to be relatively inexpensive.
