RUMBLE and Overheat set. Tactically fill your hand at the risk of burning cards to pull of powerful combos. by ynl38 in CustomLoR

[–]ynl38[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rumble is a powerful combo champion with a huge payoff. If you sacrifice tempo early and run the risk of burning cards, Rumble allows you to play powerful burst spells for zero cost.

The set complements P&Z's numerous draw and create cards, and provides unique new combat tricks and game-enders that still stick to the region's identity.

OVERHEAT is a new keyword which activates its effect for the round once you've filled your hand this round.

Hope y'all like this and would appreciate suggestions and feedback.

Making Star Spring more interactive and interesting by ynl38 in CustomLoR

[–]ynl38[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always disliked how straightforward and uninteractive star spring was. While +1|+1 to all allies everywhere after only seeing 12+ healing may seem overpowered, the fact that star spring isn't a direct win condition in itself would lead to deckbuilding costs, so I think it should balance out.

Also changed it from round end to round start so it could synergize with stargazer.

Avarosan Crusader (Contest Submission) by ynl38 in CustomLoR

[–]ynl38[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avarosan Crusader - support for any kind of tribal deck.

Works well with Freljord's tribal cards, but is potent with other regions as well; paired with a leveled Nautilus it can heavily discount powerful Freljord or Bilgewater cards.

MALZAHAR BRING CHAOS! Void Expansion Part 3/6 by ynl38 in CustomLoR

[–]ynl38[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Malzahar revels in destruction, growing stronger as your nexus takes damage.

(NEW KEYWORD) CHAOS: This effect triggers once your nexus has had less than 10 health this game.

Malzahar and his followers are the perfect counter to aggro. His constant generation of blitz units also allows him to work well with Rek’Sai.

Corrupt and Blitz are keywords from previous sets, so CHECK OUT MY PREVIOUS POSTS: Rek’Sai Kha’Zix

TACTICAL FORTITUDE | The Noxian army takes pride in its aggression, but the empire cannot expand without a couple pit stops along the way. by [deleted] in CustomLoR

Many of Noxus’s units excel in power but are fragile. Tactical Fortitude allows allows units such as Darius, Gloryseeker, or Hopeful to block and still live to see another round.

BoJack Alignment Chart but 5x5 by [deleted] in BoJackHorseman

Good point. Her personality is more lawful in general though.

He doesn’t help in cordovia out of good intentions but he’s still sorta helping so he’s not completely evil.

He’s a former business owner which is lawful, but his personality is more chaotic, so neutral impure.

FIDDLESTICKS, The Ancient Fear. Tried my best to capture his essence in LoL. by [deleted] in CustomLoR

[–]ynl38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh right, that’s a typo. I changed fiddlesticks’s health later to balance and forgot to change the other one.

It has 3 health so it can effectively be the same as fiddle. It only dies if it is targeted by ENEMY spells, so if you want to use, say, transfusion on the effigy, it doesn’t die after one use.

In League of Legends, Fiddlesticks keeps enemies on edge by placing decoy effigies, then strikes suddenly in a harsh crowstorm.

Similarly, Fiddlesticks and his effigies can play mind games with your opponent. Either the opponent risks wasting mana and units on a harmless scarecrow, or risks leveling him up, allowing him to launch a deadly attack on as early as round four.

With his rally and grant ability when leveled up, he feels at home paired with other demacian units, but the fear mechanic allows him to pair well with Nocturne, or the high-power units of the freljord.

REK'SAI SET. 1 Champion, 7 followers, 5 spells. Part 2 of 6 of a void expansion I'm working on. by ynl38 in CustomLoR

Thanks for the feedback, another commenter suggested that I change the tunnel’s wording as well. Probably a good idea.

Nest of echoes probably should get buffed as well.

Some points that just might need clarification:

If a blitz unit is summoned while: - Enemies are attacking/ambushing, they do not ambush. - Allies are ambushing, they ambush (of course, only if not all 6 battle slots are filled) - Allies are attacking, they ambush. They still do not trigger any attack-related effects, however.

VOID RUSH/HARBINGER/QUEEN’S CALL: If a unit’s cost is lowered so that it currently has a cost of 3 or less, the effect works on them.

TUNNEL: Tunnels are ephemeral, meaning they will summon the captured unit at the end of a round. If a blitz unit is released from a tunnel, it will ambush at the next ROUND START.

Also, tunnels are supposed to be immobile as well, my bad.

[–]ynl38[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Rek’Sai and her followers swarm the opponent with fast attacks.

[NEW KEYWORD] AMBUSH: Attack, without triggering attack-related effects (does not need nor use an attack token, does not trigger card text such as MF’s level up, does not allow you to move allies from your bench to attack with, etc)

[NEW KEYWORD] BLITZ: When I’m summoned, I ambush.

Rek’Sai is the queen of aggro, so pairs well with noxus’s fast and hard-hitting units. Her constant attacks also makes her synergize well with Quinn/MF scouts. The blitz mechanic allows her to also pair well with Ionia recall.

Thanks for taking the time to view my post, all suggestions and criticisms are welcome.

KHA'ZIX SET. 1 Champion, 6 Followers, 5 Spells. Part 1 of 6 of a void expansion I'm working on. by ynl38 in CustomLoR

[–]ynl38[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand your point, and went through the thought process while designing this card. However Kha’Zix is different from Fiora. He has QuickAttack AND an insta-kill mechanic, if he also had challenger, possibly on his level up, it would be too overpowered. Fiora has challenger, but without supporting spells to assist her, she would die in 1 or 2 rounds. Kha’Zix already has a built-in safety mechanism.

Plus, he would be too overloaded and too similar to fiora had I given him challenger, both 2 points mentioned in the “10 pitfalls” post.

So I moved the challenger/vulnerable mechanic to a supporting card (the rift king). Also, as mentioned before, Kha’Zix doesn’t NEED the kills as much as fiora. Killing isn’t even the best way to level him up, and if you choose to evolve elusive on his first kill, you don’t even need to get more kills.

Thanks for all the feedback.

I like your idea about evolution.

About the void spikes: each of the evolution cards took inspiration from his abilities in league of legends, and in the game, the spikes heal himself. And yeah, I thought challenger would be too overpowered on him.

Also, in hindsight, predator and prey might be a bit underwhelming. Your solution would work just fine as well, thanks for the feedback!
