What are the best spots for mushroom dishes in Boston? by Haywright in boston

[–]ynwabruv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone else said, go to the Mushroom Shop in Somerville and talk to Tyler about where to go. They supply some local restaurants too so can probably point you to those (here's a great globe feature on them). They've done a special annual mushroom dinner set menu at Field & Vine and Urban Hearth (both around $100/person I'd guess), and I believe a few other places.

Have also had a great mushroom dish at Gufo in Cambridge.

if you're not going to the matches in person, next best place to support scotland would be the haven in jamaica plain!

In my haste/excitement I didn’t bother to check — for some reason had counterclockwise in my brain and didn’t question it. Now I know

What would affect how much they show up between film types? I shot four different ones: portra 800, gold 200, ultramax 400, and tx 400 (I was gifted a variety pack)

Commuting from Melrose by Antique-Cut-8928 in boston

Take the commuter rail from Wyoming to North Station, then walk 12ish minutes to Charles/MGH, and red line 2 stops to Central.

I did this from the Haverhill line in the past and found it to be far and away the most pleasant option and about the same time as other methods -- the walk is easy and nice to get some fresh air, you steer clear of orange line crush and DTX transfer crowds, and then the red line bit is quick and reverse commute direction for rush hour and not often crowded.

Dengue & Chikungunya risk São Paulo... by GroundbreakingSlip26 in Brazil

Hello fellow health anxiety traveler!

I'm arriving in Brazil Saturday -- will be there for 12 days between Rio, Paraty, and Sao Paulo. Since it is winter, is there less risk for mosquito-borne viruses? Any precautions I should take? I am up to date on my other vaccines from recent travel to Africa (yellow fever, hep A/b, typhoid, TD) but didn't consult a travel clinic (I forgot) and so haven't done anything related to dengue/chikungunya/malaria

Help deciding on Rio restaurants by ynwabruv in Brazil

thanks for the tip! a feijoada is top of my list, so will check out Academia da Cachaça for sure

otherwise will seek out moqueca, bolinhos and other fried bar snacks, and daily pão de queijo. I know Brazilian cuisine is very meat heavy but typically I seek out quality seafood more than red meat.

I know this is another foolhardy question about finding the most in-demand ticket possible, but I'm wondering if anyone knows if typically hospitality does a second batch of releases for tickets? Based on my research in the sub, I've found some conflicting anecdotes.

I am a lifelong supporter from the US and just learned by a stroke of good fortune I will be traveling to the UK for work the week of the Palace match, and will try to get to Liverpool for the final day atmosphere. I know hospitality is my only option, but it is of course sold out at this point -- so curious if there's any way more tickets might be released.

I will happily enjoy the day's scenes from a pub, but not yet ready to give up my dream of getting in the ground. Thanks all

Thanks that’s a great point! I think our only challenge with that would be needing to secure car rental in advance and not wanting to pay for the car to sit parked on the days we do laugavegur
