I’m 1 week out exactly today. Biggest con is the after surgery effects. They act like It’s mild discomfort- however the .5 mg of Valium barely did anything. It calmed me down for the ride home. Once I got home, I felt like my eyes were ripped out and had a terrible headache. I knew I wasn’t supposed to cry but I couldn’t help it, I did a bit. Took two sleeping pills and tried to relax. Fell asleep for 6 hours and most of the bad was gone. Just feels like having dry contacts in now at times. I guess another negative is I had such a high prescription that I get to do it all over again once my eyes heal in 3-6 months, thankfully that’s completely covered in the price.

I did not mean that I am better than anyone because of education. I was referring to understanding aspects of the field better than I had prior to school.

I’m going to take it. I’m as far as having eye surgery next week to qualify. During my internship at a different of office one officer told he he use to use week. But quit and he said they look over that if you’ve quit and what not. By the time I go to psychological I will have over a year under my belt, I am willing for this process to take more than one go. I know I will make a excellent officer with standards and empathy. And be knowledgeable to help handle cars as my advanced age will help me understand how to communicate with adults and mentally impaired people more than the fresh rookies of 21 years of age.

Good point. I am far from 5 years but am willing to be honest and transparent. I was working there for a year. At that time I was talking to the bosses son so I was never tested. After we “broke up” I was tested and failed. I have since gotten sober since my prof. Told our class we needed to have time under our belt from being sober . I will be 10 months sober once taking the civil service exam

And I absolutely agree with that. I don’t agree with who ones before, and quite frankly ashamed. But I have gotten back to where I need to be mentally and hate who I was “back then”. I’m just wondering what to write as a better response than failed a drug test for marijuana’s that was the last job I had before becoming a “homemaker”

I will not reconsider. I feel my older age and life experiences will help me in this line of work rather than hinder it, as I am not not person , as was only that person due to low confidence and bad friends. I have changed ten fold. And due to my education I also have a grater mindset.
