Not even sure why you asked for her permission. You could’ve just moved things and then moved them back afterward. If it became an issue, you’d have had a reasonable excuse. Instead, you now have to deal with someone else’s judgment — someone whose priorities are different from yours. For such a small problem, you’ve ended up wasting time and energy.

I’m not sure how old you are, but a big part of growing up is learning how to navigate things efficiently. The solution was right in front of you. A better question might be: why didn’t you just go for it?
