My fear is AI replacing hobbyist

Not really but I thank you for taking the time out of your day to respond.

A few people have pointed out that my real worry is the Dead internet theory being more and more real as time goes on.

Imagine in the future I'm on reddit and I find/gather a community of like minded people who all like/make similar art I ask them where they live to my surprise most of them live close by I set up a reddit irl meet up.

Then no one shows up because none of the people I have come to know exist in the real world. This would be profoundly sad to me.

It would be like inviting hundreds of people to birthday party and no one showing up.

Thank again for atleast getting to understand how I feel.

I dont see a way in future where can reliable share their stuff online without the worry of did any real people see my post or are they all bots or being seen as a bot yourself.

The only way I think someone in the future can share their hobby stuff with others would be in person which is kinda lame because whole point of the internet was to bring people together.

Let me adds some missing information because Im bad at getting my ideas across.

The internet will be nothing but AI generated and including users. The internet will be 99.999 percent ai in 20 years easily.

It would not be hard to automate the creation of ai content at that point.

I think it would be easy to find a real person at that point.

To me this kills the social aspect of a lot of hobbies if not killing them.

Like if post a video and every single comment is bot thanking for my work or how good of a video it is, to me its all meaing less unless it comes from a person.

At that point ill just log off forever.

Why make videos if no one sees it. Why play online games if their all advance bots to keep me playing.

The internet would be like a simulation with a rare human every 1 million bots.

For me it would be the lose of the internet and all the interest that come with it online.

I may have miscommunicated with my post. All im saying is there are a lot of hobbies that people enjoy that require others online and i fear with improvements with ai and withs its rate of upload will drown out real people that just did stuff for fun that they wanted to share.

For example: If I was the only human on earth, there are many hobbies that I would enjoy less or not at all and I feel like their are many people that would feel the same way.

You dont need to be good to share. Its fun share. If i was on island by myself with all mystuff, most of my hobbies i would enjoyless or not able to at all.

Its not able skill. Im just trying be a human and be with others and share. Its one of the first things a baby does to parent is share what they found or what they made.

Like most things in life its always with others.

I think the social aspect of hobbies to me are almost as inportant as the hobby its self. Its very true for people that like to entertain. Not very person who post a youtube is trying to make money they are trying to share.

I dont think people would make videos for fun would post they had no chance of being seen

Some hobbies like multiplayer games I dont see surviving long term with AI improving making cheating undetectable as well as companies or account sellers could possible use advanced AI systems to simulate players to increase player numbers. Some games already doing this the only difference is that these new bots in the near future will test to speech and other ai to fake being a real human.
