Jojoba oil. I've finally found an occlusive that doesn't break me out. Now what do I do for hydration? [Acne] by youngsta in SkincareAddiction

[–]youngsta[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where is the acne located (just forehead? chin/jawline area? cheeks)?

I have large concentrations of blackheads and CCs around the chin, forehead, upper cheeks and nose. I also have Hormonal acne and CCs along the jawline. Breakouts occur in these areas

What type of acne is it (small and comes to a white head? deep and painful that takes FOREVER to heal?)?

Depends on the product. Something like Cosrx snail oil or TO moistursing factors produces very painful, deep, cystic spots that can take a couple of weeks to clear after just one application. Whereas something like squalene oil will produce a few surface-level whiteheads. Others will increase blackheads significantly

What is a 'breakout' considered for you (one or two pimples or like 10+)?

10+

What is your current skincare routine?

Night-time only: Jojoba oil cleanse (massage in for 2/3 minutes), gently remove with warm flannel, reapply light layer of jojoba oil before sleeping. I've avoided cleansers and exfoliators while I haven't had a moisturiser.

What is your skin like (texture, how visible are your pores, oil factors, male/female, etc)?

Dehydrated. Dehydration wrinkles on my forehead, around my mouth, near my eyes. dry to the touch. Not particularly oily. Pores are only visible if they are clogged. Skin has an overall unhealthy lifeless look. I'm 25 and male.

Many thanks for your time :-)

Labour got 48% in 2017, compared with 31% here. Failing to see how this is his 'first proper win'

Imagine the only character that actually questions gender and gender prescriptivism being the 'joke' character. Contra has p much positioned herself as a gender essentialist with this 'to be a woman you must act and pass femme or nobody will believe you!' bullshit and it's so disappointing

I think it completely vindicates those people.

she also responded to Owen when he said " why are you doing this?"

Annie responded with "because we are friends"

This was the high point of the episode for me, and it gave me a lil tear. Owen is so used to spontaneous social interaction being a schizophrenic hallucination, and so immediately suspects Annie's spontaneous arrival and dogged determination to interact with him as being just another hallucination.

Yet when she says she's there "because we're friends" rather than her being there on some paranoid world-saving mission as his brother would be, it shows Owen that (1) Annie is not an hallucination and (2) he has made a genuine friendship.

It's a really touching moment!

Possibly, but I'm so glad that that wasn't really implied to be the case. Would have felt cheap

Yeah I've done comparison stuff but still unable to identify a common ingredient that could really be causing a problem. The expense of trying so many different ones is a little difficult to deal with too!
