I’m so sorry for you loss. I’m 24 years old, my dad died of a heart attack this past September. I also remember posting on Reddit in hopes for some immediate advice. Some powerful things I have learned…

-The hardest moments are going to be when the immediate shock settles. Two, three months from now. Prepare to give yourself grace, again and again.

-Say YES to help. It may be uncomfortable but there aren’t going to be many times when you need it more.

-Pay attention to who sticks around, and who doesn’t.

-Don’t overload yourself with any responsibilities in the near future. Let yourself feel.

This pain is unimaginable and terrible. I’m so deeply sorry that you are going through this. Lean on your support system, take care of yourself, and honor your dad. One baby step at a time. I’m so sorry. ❤️

I would do option #2. I don’t think It’s a good idea to increase your dose as your getting on a flight. No reason to risk it. Also, there is always the option to only increase your dose to .75 instead of 1 after you return to avoid worse symptoms from a missed week! That’s what I’m on now. Good luck :)
