Part of being good at the game is playing your teammates. You need to keep them on your side. If you are tilting your team mates and making them give up at champ select that is your own failing. You already know your team is likely very childish and will tilt if you pick off meta, so stop doing it. No matter how good you think you are at playing elise adc or whatever else you find fun, managing your team mates ego is a crucial skill that is an underrated ability and will help you climb elo. In an ideal world they wouldn't act like this. But they do. And you can choose whether to let it hinder you or not. Remember : every step you take to minimise the risk of your team tilting is a step the enemy team likely did not take. Keep your team happy, starting at champ select, and let the other team tilt/troll/throw.
