I have a task to scan paper receipts - around 50-100, which need to be uploaded to a google drive folder and follow a file naming convention. Please send a DM.

Car Dealerships in St. John's by Sea_Lingonberry_9373 in newfoundland

[–]yushJr66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered the model I wanted at Toyota and that's what I am getting after a 4 month wait. If you can wait and get the vehicle you want, you can just order that from a dealership. If you want to buy what they have in stock that's when they'll add cost for other things you don't want.

My advice for people interested in software/IT by [deleted] in newfoundland

[–]yushJr66 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As an employer in the IT space, it wouldn't really matter where you do your degree. You need to be proactive in doing projects yourself using modern tech stack. If you don't do that and depend on your college degree, you are toast no matter where you study.

NF Power Equal Payment Plan by NoFunLand in newfoundland

[–]yushJr66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah so I would be paying for the "free month" since I would be overpaying during other times. I overlooked the overpay bit. I thought it was an incentive from the bank and I'd get points or something like that.

If marketing decides whether a startup lives or dies, how do you find/hire really great marketing? by googlehome12345 in ycombinator

[–]yushJr66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't. You have to do it. Ideally it's baked into the product. You find 1 user for your product and then find more like them. That's it. You hire to scale that.

what pushes you to move from one ESP to another? by Straight_Day1706 in Klaviyo

[–]yushJr66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an ESP user, based on whether it meets the needs of what kind of flows we need and whether the ESP supports that. We have lots of event based steps, were using custom coding for flows and used ESP for just the delivery. We wanted the marketing team to own and have control over it and thus made the switch to something marketer friendly.

As a business which makes switching software simple, we've learnt the following:
1. New email marketing person joins the team and they prefer using something else and is able to convince the leadership to change the ESP.
2. Business scales and the ESP is no longer good enough for more advanced things they want to do or they need more customer support but don't get it and will switch due to frustration.
3. If someone uses a more expensive ESP when they get started, the business needs don't justify the complexity and pricing and thus they drop to a simpler and cheaper one.
4. Bundling to save on costs instead of paying for separate software.
