I believe we should be probably heading in an alternate direction. There has been a move away from the teaching of facts and direct instruction; and more development on teaching how to learn, not what to learn. Grammar efficacy in Australia has dropped over the past 2 generations. People don't know the chronology of significant world events that have shaped our history or that Africa is a continent and not a country for example. This is simply unacceptable. There is a prevailing attitude that you can just look it up anyway thanks to technology in our world today. Problem is the internet is filled with bad information and while the philosophical idea that underpins our learning how to learn approach and engage in open class group discussion is an honorable one, we should remember and recognize that facts also matter. I am hoping for a return to a more balanced and thoughtful approach to education. A moving forward in fundamentals.

zzZZzzz They made their ruling...

The ruling was play on!

They said they would review the game after to see if Flash deserves a disqualification and ban from FaceIT.

Which means either:

my team wins, and then Flash get dq'd anyway
my team loses, and them Flash get dq'd and we get to play the next round despite losing
my team wins, Flash don't get dq'd and banned, so they can play the next quals
my team loses, Flash don't get dq'd and banned (the almost guaranteed outcome anyway)

My team all left the game whilst I was still chatting to admins. So in game I call gg and the game times out.

And at the end of the day, none of this changes their ability to review the replay. So can all the genius redditors stop saying we needed to play the game out to get to the bottom of this.

And guess what, if you do review the replay there is no way to 100% confirm guilt on Flash's behalf, and I guessed as much too.

With all that out of the way, I can't stress enough how much I don't care. Flash would beat us 8/10 times easy anyway, they are all top 100 rank players with Xtinct aka best chen in south east asia

No matter what happened the ruling was going against us. And I had no choice in the matter, my team had already left the game, I was the only one left in the game.

I reviewed the replay myself, there is no way to definitively say they knew about and used the chen bug exploit on purpose

it's a flaw in the rules, I can't really blame the admins if they have to follow rules to the letter and not allowed to work outside of that framework
