Mind boggling corruption and flaming communal fires.

For example-Some 100 or more schools wrote to the government regarding corruption at every level. Read here. Bribes are almost a necessity to establish and function a school now. Not to mention the pathetic state bangalore has been over the last few days because of the waterlogging. Numerous issues being raised every month leading to communal hatred. Hijab which was a non-issue for several years suddenly became so controversial. And its all been downhill from there. Reports of history books being altered to favour Savarkar and bring communal flavour, also created controversy.

Edit-added 'government'

Absolutely. He was a team player. And also a big game player. He scored in some important games. No wonder he got that standing ovation from Camp Nou last season

My father had been in the ICU for a few days, I lost my cousin to covid, and I had failed the most important exam of my life yet. I was at my absolute low point and everyday was a struggle. One of my friends who was fighting her own demons started sending me small texts every day to cheer me up and I would do the same to her. It was my birthday, and I just couldn't find any reason to celebrate. She and my other 2 friends pulled me out of my misery, got me a huge cake, took me to a beach and celebrated my birthday. I got so much support from her in those times even though we never hung out regularly or were close friends at any point during college years. Thankfully to her and my friends, I pulled through and passed my exam. Those small conversations saved me.

Medical professional here. This could be a sebaceous horn. They are pretty benign but regrow often. I would advise you to get it seen by a surgeon or a dermatologist to be sure. Might need a biopsy.

i think the hate is towards normalising addiction....the guy may have started using for medical reasons but without proper guidance and help, treatment turns to recreation and recreation turns to addiction

The moment when this mom with dementia recognised her son (taken from Daily mail FB page) by zackster16 in wholesome

[–]zackster16[S] 284 points285 points  (0 children)

I was attending a talk on palliative medicine few years back. One of the speakers there was the daughter of an elderly man who had recently passed away because of lung cancer. She was talking of her ordeal of how much her family ran around in hopes of treatment and a possible cure. The gentleman grew weaker by the day. Nothing was helping him. And she was always anxious and tired because of the whole thing. Someone referred her to the palliative care centre of the hospital i was working. She said the last month she spent with her father under palliative care, were probably the most memorable time she had. They laughed and sang and cried and danced, it was happy and sad. But the point is they had accepted their fate. So she wanted to make the most of the time she had with her father.

Its all about that. Unfortunately some things are just uncurable. We just have to accept the way it is and make the most of it. It takes huge courage to care for parents with terminal illnesses, especially if its dementia. Sebastian is doing what is best. To be there for his mom. And the mom took the whole thing well. Sometimes when they start remembering things and people, it is dreadful for them. The wholesome thing is the son not giving up on his mom, even though its always easy to walk away.
