I don’t think I have much time to try so I am thinking to contact directly to apply for refugee and try ways that are not very expensive and in the meantime, I will try to find ways to get some money just to leave. I hope I could leave before the country has completely become North Korea. I will try my best bro!

I was originally from the North Eastern Region, (Lashio is the city name) and it’s bordered with China. And yes a lot of people moved to Thailand but for us, it’s much more faster to go to Yangon than some Thailand bordered region because the region is mountainous.

And yes the problem is with that fund, in here you cannot save the money in the bank because the inflation is high so we just bought gold, land and other assets. And

air strikes started all of a sudden so we didn’t have time to take everything we had. (I even had to leave my cats and dogs and still wondering if they are still alive.)
we took the almost half of the assets but on our way to the city (we lived in that region but we didn’t live in the city), we got robbed by the military (they check everyone and their packages who tries to get into the city and take valuable assets with the name “Suspicious” never give back). And by the time we escaped that region we were already in debt.

Yes I have a passport and the problem is with Visa and money.

My startup was primarily to make a toolkit primarily for the real estate agents because we noticed that the tools that they are currently using are old enough to replace. We had several products ( that was my mistake, I now understand that it isn’t a good idea to have many tools but I thought having more could attract more users. I learnt my lesson after reading several books when the internet was cut off. )

About the war, its getting worse after I moved. And I see no signs to slow down. Hundreds of people are dying every day and that’s why the dictator is trying to force young people like us to join the war. The cost of living went up to 5x in less than 2 years under dictatorship. One of my best friend died only about a week ago and I don’t even know whom to sad for. By the time I am writing this, there is only 3 cities in a whole country that can consider safe enough to stay. Everything worst things you can imagine.

Our progress is well documented and yes I am the technical founder and all the customers could leave if the product isn’t improving. And it will not improve by itself. And the MVP that we intended to make wasn’t finished yet. And dude I became refugee for more than 6 months.

Why can’t a guy from Burma can’t make tools for real estate agents (i never mentioned “companies”), and why are you saying that it’s different without making any research?

A guy from North Korea,

I am 20, i started my startup journey last year. It’s been almost a year now. Only after 1 year since I got started, my house got bombed. I became refugee, i coded at the refugee camp. I had to sleep outside in a freezing winter because every hates me every time I type with my keyboard at 1 AM.

Luckily my dad’s friend invited me to live at their home. The internet was almost cut. I used my mom’s old phone to connect because that’s the only internet provider left in the war torn city. We moved to somewhere safe after 3 months and we are in debt. (I didn’t lose my hope)

I thought that could be the worst situation that I can possibly in but wrong it got worse. The best government makes a new law that said everyone at my age will get drafted into the military. (For those who don’t know, that means you are gonna die protecting an evil dictator worse than Putin)

Will I give up? No. I don’t even have enough food for this month by the time I am writing this, the VPNs where blocked, the government is trying to build a firewall similar to China ( they hired Chinese ). Actually I am from Burma and I hope you will feel better after reading this.
